The metal pipe is acting like a "Faraday Cage" around the signal, preventing the electrical signal from getting through... similar to "shielding" in cable. BTW, it's the same reason lightning can't ever electrocute you if you're inside your vehicle, or your house for that matter. Great vid Oliver.

It’s true. When I lived in NY, I noticed that so many people were always in a rotten mood and had a chip on their shoulder. That’s just typical of the east coast in general. DC was also pretty bad, but being in proximity to politicians tends to have that effect on people anyway 😂

Circular will have more strength from collapsing and the water levels would sit higher during rain, which is good for floating and flushing down debris. I'd imagine rectangular is used if you don't have as much vertical clearance, but require a larger volume than can be had by a circular profile. Circle is definitely better for most applications though. Easy to install, higher strength while using less material, faster flow, cheaper

No wonder that frog couldn't find his way out. Clearing these drains was really the pits. The birds lost their taste for worms. They wanted Spam instead!
