W-Hydra 2 SCART Switcher test/demonstration

my dad got me a W-Hydra 2 for my birthday, so I had to try it out with some(4) consoles and my test tv. I'm reorganizing my retro setup, so instead of 1x TV and 1x CVM, I'm only going to use 1x CVM. that means 13 consoles with RGB going to one screen, that's where the hydra comes handy with it's 16 inputs (even though I've 6x 5-way Bandridge SCART switchers, but I'm not a fan of daisy-chaining analog av signals)

I know this may be random but I'm thinking about buying one but I want to figure out if it would fit in the spot I want to put it in. Would it be possible for you to give me the measurements of the switch, either in cm or inches either is good

not in RGB. but it can support up to 1080i using YPbPr (component video) over SCART, unfortunately I don't think you can use the auto-switch feature that way.

@@SCARTfreak How is that different from the gscartsw? That one is advertised to support HD signals up to 1080p. Does the gscartsw also only support that through component? Thanks, scart stuff is new to me so apologies for lots of questions

it's probably the same. also looked up the Hydra again, an yes it also does support 1080p component

What one man needs this much SCART?

me, since I wanted to use 15 game consoles with RGB-SCART on one TV.
previously I was using two TVs with three Bandridge SCART switchers, but I don't have the room anymore for setting up two 29inch TV's.

How does the SNES (Super Nintendo) work with it?
Because the Otaku-Games 6 Port RGB Scart Auto Switch (6PAUTOSCARTHQ) has problems with the SNES (PAL), if i have more then
only the SNES connected to it, the screen gets darker with more consoles connected to it, and get lines and so (only with SNES, i have
two of them, and used different Nintendo to scart cables), does the MINI HYDRA not have that problem?

I couldn't test my SNES yet, but my SFC works flawless. What kind of sync you are using composite video sync, luma sync or composite sync? Your Otkau-Switch is probably outputting a way too high sync. for more info: www.retrorgb.com/otaku-6in3out-amplified-auto-scart-switch-review.html
