Great job on the video, mate!
Yes I’m glad he made this!! I didn’t want to rewatch the arc because it’s just the movie in just tv form. Besides I didn’t cry when Rengoku died in the movie. I never was attached to his character
Great comparison, I'm surprised you didn't notice the slight changed to Enmu's scream that plays when he gets decapitated at the start of ep6, and the slight change to the flame technique (blooming flame undulation) after Akaza smashes his ribs.
I now see that Enmu's scream is far less guttural in episode 6! Good ear! I don't see the other one you mentioned however. Would you mind timestamping it? Glad you liked the comparison!

Aren’t you forgetting that they completely cut the scene of the Master walking through the graveyard reciting people’s names in the beginning? Hell yeah. About the episode 5 monologue, the one with Nezuko butt chin… That surprisingly was a part at the end of that chapter in the manga, too. I never would have thought nor imagined they would animate that!
Usually, mainly with shounen series & sometimes shoujo series, if the mangakas will do lil "omakes" which are like mini-episodes at the end of each chapter or they will do anime-only ones (I.e JJK's Jujutsu Scroll). They're very popular & tend to deviate from the series' usual tone (i.e tonal shifts like Black Lagoons omakes) or parody serious canon scenes for a funny gag, etc
6:22 that scene got me so excited for the whole remake thingy when I watched it, I remember reading it from the manga, I was a bit sad when it wasn't included in the movie, but I'm glad that they decided to animate it in the tv series
There was also a bit of a quality adjustment when Tanjiro and Inosuke were slicing tentacles. In the movie, the background remained the same blueish color as the sky, but in the TV version, it suddenly darkens into a grey-like color, and Tanjiro and Insouke’s technique visuals seemingly glow and reflect off the environment. I think demon slayer is the only anime that can literally reuse a movie, split it in episodes, say it's a second season AND still be a banger. Compared to the work in the full movie. The work they did to this new season is pretty much 2 full episodes or less, they really got some profit out of it
Great job man! i was just expecting some side-by-sides without commentary, but this was incredibly in-depth and informative!! Thanks so much and again awesome job!!
Heartfelt thanks to everyone that watched the video! There are definitely some things that I missed or got wrong, but that's why you guys are here! Hope you all have a fantastic day!
I loved this comparison but let me add one more- In the final episode recap, there is a new OST kind of filler that later syncs in with the movie OST (This is in the scene where rengoku uses forms 3-5). When Rengoku uses 3rd form, there is a slight delay with the zoom in where akaza is going to block his attack. then if you notice, Rengoku using 4th form in ep 7 recap is much brighter and more ambient compared to the movie.

As a manga reader some parts in the manga aren't present in the movie like spoken lines for example from the movie that one line "I was willing to hurt others.. if it meant I could escape from the pain of this illness" from that tuberculosis guy and in the TV version he said "The shining little sprites inside you.. lit up my heart" in the TV version was in the manga if I remember correctly, so in the tv version the absent manga parts are there. Glad you made this because I wasn't going to watch the movie in episodes just to see what's changed. Now I get to see actual comparison I may not have noticed if I did watch this.

The first episode of demon slayer season 2 (the official first episode) is done so well whoever animated this whatever production team who were behind this needs to be paid an immaculate amount honestly. Demon slayer has the best animations out right now. Atleast from. What I've seen
I remember watching this video last year. How do you only have 40k subscribers is beyond me. This is one of the best videos I've seen. Keep up the good work man
The opening had Kyojiro in it and in the first ep of season 2 its ending opening has Tengan in it so I'm guessing all the openings for each arc with the hashiras are going to have them featured in the openings.
I LOVED watching the differences between the movie and tv versions! I did rewatch each episode as it came out on crunchyroll, and ultimately wanted to watch this video of yours to see if I recognized the new scenes/extra frames. I actually did recognize quite a few of the new shots, but I think overall prefer the flow of the TV version overall honestly! :D I definitely can feel the difference (tempo/ambience wise) between movie and TV versions, and the TV version just flowed really well altogether and the new stuff added to emotional scenes + gave more awesome context in a lot of cases! Seriously thank you for making this video, cause it's obvious that you put a lot of work + time into making this and I absolutely enjoyed this video in it's entirety! ^-^
I like the movie version more. Even tho it doesn't have as much shots as the TV version but it is more cinematic which I actually prefer. Very nice comparison video!
So in all honesty, the tv show returns things towards the sequence of the manga as well as using the original intended cuts of most of the music and cutting other music sequences into different chunks. It feels more like a gentle redirect back towards the feel of the manga and show that we already had a taste of before the movie tried wowing the hell out of everyone (it worked and it worked well both ways IMO). Neat... I was going to wait till the new episodes were rolling since I already finished the series a long time ago, but I suppose I'll give it a watch now. :D
Really nice coverage of all the changes. Only thing is music is referred to as “BGM” (Background Music). OST (Original Soundtrack) refers to the soundtrack collections

Impressive and hugely appreciated work! I saw the movie and was about to watch season 2 only to find out that the first part was basically just a slightly extended/different version of the movie. So watching this to learn the differences is fantastic!
Excellent work, I already was missing a video from you, it's always so interesting and fun to watch these commentary videos from you. Now I'll proceed to watch Ep 7
I know some ppl were mad about the movie being recapped, but I live it. We got the openings, endings, music, new scenes, etc and they clearly put thought and effort into it all. Plus, not everyone has 2 hours to watch the movie and this stream lines the episodal saga nicely
Why would you want to rewatch the same thing with a minute of new animations? I rather just get all new episodes of the next arcs. And you say not everyone has 2 hours to watch a movie but they have time to watch this? You don’t have to watch the movie in one go.

Increíble video , muchas gracias por la explicación aveces es muy difícil notar las diferencias pero me alegra no averme saltado esos capítulos por qué ya había visto la película y creí que sería exactamente igual .
I’m horrified you don’t have more subscribers!!! This is a wonderfully done video and incredibly informative, thank you for your hard work!
Justo acabo de ver la película y ya había visto la serie y si hay cambios que se notan.
Que video más genial
i was so curious about the little changes thank you so much for this omg
Your welcome :)
thank you so much for doing this!!
Your welcome! :)
Thank you for making the comparison video. I noticed some of the changes when I watched the tv version, mostly the scenes they added that they didn't have in the movie. I didn't notice the changes dialogue and the OST so thank you for pointing that out
You made this to understand so easily.. thanks man ❤️💯👑
Glad you made this because I wasn't going to watch the movie in episodes just to see what's changed. Now I get to see actual comparison I may not have noticed if I did watch this.
Wow the attention to detail and effort that was put into this video is insane! You earned a new subscriber my friend. Looking forward to new content in the future!
Bless you! I know this had to be time-consuming!
Keep up the good work man
Brilliant hard work bro 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you kindly!
Thank you very much! I will share to all my demon slayer friends.
The opening had Kyojiro in it and in the first ep of season 2 its ending opening has Tengan in it so I'm guessing all the openings for each arc with the hashiras are going to have them featured in the openings.
Great video! This was very helpful, when I watched it I only noticed a couple of differences!
I literally just could not bring myself to watch the mugen train arc again, so thanks for making this.
I respect you for your hard work to count all the cuts🙀
Good video and great comparison!
Quality and very specific. Good job!
this video is sooo good! keep em' coming!
homie really gave us the vid we were all waiting for lol
So in all honesty, the tv show returns things towards the sequence of the manga as well as using the original intended cuts of most of the music and cutting other music sequences into different chunks. It feels more like a gentle redirect back towards the feel of the manga and show that we already had a taste of before the movie tried wowing the hell out of everyone (it worked and it worked well both ways IMO). Neat... I was going to wait till the new episodes were rolling since I already finished the series a long time ago, but I suppose I'll give it a watch now. :D
I love the use of the word “imaginary” in this video. Time to subscribe 😂
Really nice coverage of all the changes. Only thing is music is referred to as “BGM” (Background Music). OST (Original Soundtrack) refers to the soundtrack collections
Why don’t you have 1 million subs yet the editing is gas dude great job keep up the amazing work you’ll be recognized. Subbed
this just shows how good the series is it would be easier to just play the movie and just make them into episodes but they actually made new things
I really hated that the movie was turned into episode at all. Waste of my time and hype
I was hoping they would continue with the story instead of giving us the same thing in episodic form.
I know some people were pissed but most countries didn’t have it on theaters, not to mention all the immunodeficient people that can’t take vaccines and can’t simply leave their houses unless is totally necessary….
@@biazacha not too mention the studio wanted to double bank on their fans 😂
@@Champ0222 Money had to be the only reason they did that at all 😂
what an amazing video! As I watch the movie I was too lazy to watch these episodes and the video helped me in the retrospective. Congratulations on the work.
"Wow, even his voice is powerful."
Always has been.
Brilliant comparison, an incredible amount of work listing all the details. I truly appreciate you making the effort to pronounce their names correctly as well.
Making a whole movie of rengoku just to kill him at the end, feels bad man...
Thanks for the love and support as always! I'm glad you liked the video. Enjoy episode 7!
Thank you so much for this I didn’t know whether I should watch the movie or the show lol
@Lee Brown bro the 20 sometihng mins weekly is about the same, if not more run time than a movie. And no one says you have to watch a movie in one sitting
