Getting my Rondo 3 next week. Got a Rondo 2 at the moment. Curious to see how the Rondo 3 works out. I am interested to see if they have improved magnets on Rondo 3. I have a few issues with the Rondo 2 but mostly the magnet strengths are a problem. Got a 4 strength one which is not quite enough but the 5 strength one is too strong. Rondo 2 is very inconsistent for me. I don't know. I just reckon MedEl did not research the magnets properly. The number 3 strength one didn't even stay on. Let me just say that I am not surprised Cochlear have a bigger market share than MedEl.
Dear Nathan, we do hope you will get better user experience from your new Rondo 3. Due to audio technology it uses it should boost your hearing experience. The larger capacity of the battery makes it work longer during the day, however, the induction loop option is available only after connecting a special adapter. As for the magnets - it is a very individual matter and it seems that it is mainly related to the placement of the implant. Our daughter uses 2x Rondo 3 processors with magnets 2 and 3 and they hold up quite well. We keep our fingers crossed that the replacement of the processor will be beneficial for you. @SmartEar hi didn't expect a response. Yes apparently the magnets are better on the Rondo 3. I unfortunately have to stick with Rondo 2 for one ear. The Rondo 3 is for my second ear. But will keep battling. Don't get me wrong, when the Rondo 2 works properly it is amazing. Just not often for me. But yes the magnets do differ for everyone. Unfortunately I have very thick hair which seems to be a problem with the magnets. But will keep plugging away. Be interesting to see what 2 ears is like.
One day I hope MedEl understands that no one wants a backpack full of items! A little effort should be made to make all the items fit in a bag half this size! I dread taking this bag out!
Hi Darlene, thanks for your reply. The box is quite big but it feels good while unpacking. The backpack is designed for carrying a laptop and I can definitely recommend it for everyday usage.

I'm with you. It's a bit unnecessary and I would have liked packaging for the rondos themselves. For when you take it off during the day, be nice to have something to store it in.
It is not that they have an accent that is difficult for deaf people to understand. I am postlingually deaf, what I used to hear normally now is hard for me to understand... in short: the problem lies with the deaf, listeners speak normally when their voices are heard and they have learned to speak correctly since they were little.
What is the cost of rondo 3 in India. Currently my baby is using rondo 2 single ear and he got transplant at the age of 2 years 3 months. Now he is using Rondo 2 for last 6 months. Can Rondo 3 will be beneficial for him at this age or not?
