The sound, in my opinion, is very similar to Sonnet 2. You can check how I hear through the implant after two years in my latest video.
In Poland, we can change the audio processor every five years, but people usually have them longer without issues.

How much are the covers, and can you not just clean the covers. Am sure they are expensive.

The price depends on time and location, so you should check them based on your location. I’m not sure how it is in your area but in my country, there is the possibility to change covers based on warranty.
