Almost all of Ateez music videos are part of a huge, anime like fictional storyline. But obviously you don’t need to know the story to enjoy the music. All you need to know is that Ateez are a band of intradimensional time traveling pirates, who use a magic hourglass to travel through time and between dimensions during the full moon. During the crecent moon they can communicate with other timelines through dreams. In this music video they have entered a dystopian world where people have been brainwashed to have no emotions, and Ateez sets up a subversive Guerrilla movement to take down the corrupt government. If you want more Ateez try their video for Halazia. Their music videos (at least all the ones since they started making money) are epic, but a lot their B side tracks that have no music videos are as good as their title tracks.
I love Ateez music and their videos. They go hard the last 30 secs EVERY TIME. I cant wait until they tour the US! Oh, they'll be at Coachella next month too.

They are Pirates because they are freedom fighters in their lore and the industry. They stand for something different and use music to share a message each comeback In the song Guerilla, the song that is meant to break everyone out of the evil guys mind control, in a world where art n music arent allowed. So they literally start Guerilla Warfare & BREAK THE WALL lol. But they dont win in Guerilla n have to inspire hope again with their other sog Halazia, which is teased at the end. Letting others know that they can they can have their Hearts Awakened, Live Alive & Be the Light (or Halazia- Zia maens light) even in dark times. See their song Hala Hala. They still have a bit of the Pirate Concept thrown in (with songs like Horizon, Win, Don't Stop MV n others), but it's more modern n futuristic rebellion freedom fighters. That's all I'm gonna tease for now cause i find it fun going through the lore myself. Ateez & Atiny don't call him Leader (he's Captain) He writes, produces music for Ateez and leads the group. (Short and Intense lol). 3:12 Yunho (you know)- Lead Dancer (he learns choreo the fastest & helps teaching the members) he has dark hair too, leads the dance 5:25 . Performer and Vocalist (very stable even when doing choreo like wtf) (he's our big puppy and the tallest at over 6 feet). 5:25 Yeosang (yoh sang)- (blond hair with yellow jacket ) hes also a Visual but also a unique Vocalist, Performer (stares into your soul), likes to be called a doberman lol. He adds a deeper tone and vocal to many of their songs, see Halazia MV. Mingi (min gee)- Rapper (doing the rap with the deep voice, i the van & then doing the choreo here, 4:30 ) Writes with Hongjoong & helps producing (he has started producing his own song eries called FIX OFF, see the Desire Films by Mingi if interested) and he's an absolutely dirty Performer ugh🤪but he's pretty introverted and sweet. His name means mountain so if you see that, that's why. He looks fierce but is just adorable. ATEEZ last two albums are absolute NO SKIPS! As k-pop groups go they are known for their extremely theatrical performances. They always go all out. The leader of the group, one of the two rappers, Hongjoong, is songwriter and a main producer for the group, the other rapper, Mingi (deep voice) is the other main songwriter, he writes poetic ballads. Musically ATEEZ is not afraid of any genre: EMERGENCY --Indian drum baseline DUNE-Straight up Bohemian Rhapsody vibes ARRIBA--Drunken Spanish fiesta --and definitely check out CRAZY FORM, HALAZIA (that video is a movie!), BOUNCY, and MATZ--all absolute bangers!
Yay ateez!!!! The clips at the end of their MVs are little spoilers for their next song and heavily involve the storyline lore. They’re interdimensional traveling pirates that are helping overthrow a corrupt government!! 8 member South Korean boy group. They’re crazy popular and have a huge fan base!! You can’t go wrong with any ateez song ❤❤
Also the little teaser piece at the end--the visual of the little boy escaping is a teaser for one music video and the music in the background is a teaser for Halazia. ATEEZ is known for this and all the songs are part of their storyline.
Stumbled across this and it was Ateez so I clicked! Glad you enjoyed them, Halazia is a masterpiece, both the sound and cinematic style video so that's my recommendation if you do have time to come back to them at some point 😊 (with the subs on as lyrics are great too) its a great time to get into them with them being at Coachella next month!
What was so interesting for me when I saw the video visuals, I couldn't help but think of the Novel 1984. Hongjoong has actually spoken about reading more books for inspiration as he studies ideas to continue his producing. (Yes he works in a studio for excessive hours. He's extremely hard working. Mingi also writes lyrics and Seonghwa has been exploring more as well. Their song and introduction MATZ is a testament to that.) Anyway apparently this video and storyline entry was infact inspired by the destopia and intensive government control like in the novel 1984. I was shocked when I found that out. Hongjoong is really good at expressing his visions and inspirations. Like when he talked about the "Characters" that are MATZ, I instantly knew he was talking about MIB, only for him to say it a moment later in the video log lol. 😂 There are great storyline explanation videos of you ever get curious. I enjoyed it so much I was upset I finished the current entries of the plot. It's so good.
They have storyline with dimensions worlds destopian island ,villians ,halateez characters, basically they r pirates 😂, also time Traveller 😅😅😅 who fighting,anarchy , so they show one by one stories through their music videos, plus diary story video i saw....
