I saw that same guy in the video at a con. I was looking through his journey into mystery and they were missing one page. He didn't take them down. he just took them out of my hands and put them back up on the wall. If you see him don't buy anything from him. He's dishonest. That's called being a scammer.
Would u say that they are more valuable than golden age hero books, tho?
@@wylier No I would say it depends on the issue. Obviously a first appearance of Superman or spider man or whatever will fetch insane prices, whereas pre-code horror and crime books won’t be as pricey, but still more than the average schmo can easily afford, especially for certain artists and highly sought after issues.

I know in 30-40 years from now these two will be comic con legends. Huge back wall of juicy silver age books and key comics with tons of long boxes. Imagine the prices for silver age Marvels and DC's in 30+ years. Ouch
You think they gonna be doing cons when their pushing 65 ,70 years old.? I doubt it.
@@howardweinstein1324 Yeah, I can tell comics are their passion and cons are fun to do. I really doubt it that comic shops will be around much longer. Cons will be the only place to buy in person.

Always enjoy seeing the setting-up before the doors open, and it's good to show viewers that it's a lot hard work; plus the planning before you even bring the first box to your tables. The guy was spot-on about Charltons, horror collectors are really starting to hunt them down; and that means more buyers becoming aware of the publisher's other genres like Romance and SF which will also start to take off. Excellent bundle for $10. Bring on Part 2!

I feel so bad for the guy whose rack got bumped hard and all his slabs fell. Not sure how to respond in that situation other than to clean it up, inspect the slabs for damage and ask my booth partner to run to Home Depot or Lowes to get that wire you showed in the last video.

Some nice golden age books. I am moving most my collection of moderns to Gold and Silver. Just such cool art and stories love how most the older comics were more self contained you could read it as a stand alone helps to know about the character but not completely necessary to enjoy the comic. In the process of selling and it kinda just warped in to a full time job. Between organizing, prepping, inspecting, paper work it is a ton of work but I am loving it. Wishing yall all the best of luck, hopefully the show went good.
Have people pop out form behind curtains and underneath tables to scare people for Halloween, there is this shop Vision Comics by Denver, in a corner there is a motion sensor witch that if you are too close it will pop up and have some evil laugh out of the blue, they are collecting recordings of people's reaction in their security camera by there, it's classic... Do it... Nice work tho!

Who is that guy purchasing all of those Golden Age Horror Comics? He was speaking the TRUTH not just as it applies to comic books but collecting as a whole. I am into collecting vinyl records and can entirely see the points both of y'all are making when it comes to the TRUE VALUE COLLECTING. I literally cannot even contemplate the idea of paying $2,800 for a 6 inch tall stack of comics. Consequently, tho, my collection ain’t worth squat, lol!
