I will tell you that if you want a little bit creamier mac and cheese, just parboil the noodles for a few minutes until they just barely start to soften, then drain before adding them to the crock pot. It's not a necessary step, but you might find you enjoy it more that way. In this recipe, I was showing how I do it when I want to keep everything to just the crock pot. Now, the corn pudding is a whole different story! That's 100% perfect exactly like this.
