I fix stuff all day for a living(meager!) and I hate it lol. Then what do I do after work? Watch someone else fix stuff. And I love it. Really admire your memory and looking over your shoulder.
Dennis, good job on this one! I sent you an e-mail about a Mitchell reel I got today. There’s also some information about my reel collection in that e-mail as well as photos of the reel. It’s another rare and unusual reel. - Chris
Hi Dennis. Yet another great video. I have an Okuma Pulzar PZ30 that came with a rod I once bought. It's a low budget reel but it works -- except that it's making the same kind of noise as your South Bend reel. And I can't figure out how to get to the bearings. If you ever happen to come across an Okuma Pulzar PZ30, please consider doing a video on it.
Thanks for the video, Dennis! I was surprised that such a low end reel had a screw in handle. Was this common at that time period or for south bend reels? I've always thought of that as a premium feature. The reel seems relatively modern. 90's? early 00's?
It was fairly common to use the screw in handles. There is not much difference in cost, so it was just a choice for manufacturers without worry of expense
Nice Job Dennis ! Another Reel Saved From The Trash Bin ! Have A Great Weekend.
Thanks, you too!
good save!
Thanks! Just showing that it doesn't matter what the cost of a reel is, if it can be repaired, it should be given a 2nd Chance - Dennis
