Hi guys welcome to aclaireytale!! Welcome to a BRAND NEW DISNEY CRUISE LINE SERIES!!! I am so incredibly honoured to say that Disney Parks UK hosted this Disney Cruise for us so I have marked this as an ad. None of this would have been possible without you all watching, liking, subscribing, commenting so a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has watched any of my vlogs, it honestly means the world. We had the best time and I can't wait to share with you as much as I can!
We are on the 7 night British Isles cruise from Southampton for DCL's 25th Anniversary and this is our itinerary:
Day 1 - Southampton, Embarkation Day
Day 2 - Day at Sea
Day 3 - Belfast, Northern Ireland
Day 4- Greenock, Scotland
Day 5 - Liverpool, England
Day 6 - Cork (Cobh)
Day 7 - Portland (Stonehenge)
It's Embarkation Day!!! In this vlog we will be embarking the Disney Dream cruise ship from Southampton. We start off in the hotel room at the Novotel Southampton port. I show you what else is near by if you are staying the night before you cruise. We get the taxi over to the port and I show you arrivals at Southampton and check in. Then we board the Disney Dream! (I don't have footage of walking on as Disney were filming us!) I show you the incredible atrium! And how it's different to the Disney Magic. We go on a bit of a tour around the ship! We walk through the shops, we get to the theatre where we get a sneak peak of what's to come in entertainment! We head up to the top decks to tour the ship while it's quiet. We walk around Senses Spa, fitness centre, treatment rooms, rainforest room! Then we walk across top deck - I get emotional!! Show you the slide, pools, nemo reef, the adult only pools and hot tubs, Cove Cafe, quick service and then it's time for Cabana's lunch! I show you all the food they have to offer! Then we have a tour of Palo and Remy the adult only dining areas. We then go down to tour the adult only bars in the District. We go to Evolution, Pink wine and champagne bar, District lounge, Pub 687. We go to the Buena Vista theatre and then have a welcome drink at Skyline! Then it's time to check out our room! We are in a verandah room and I give you a room tour! I show you our silver castaway club gifts, gifts from Disney and gifts from Simon's family! Then it's time for the muster drill!
We then head upstairs to the top decks for the Sail Away party!!! We then sail away and leave Southampton! We have a special meet and greet with Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie which was incredible! We went to the shop to pick up any special Disney Dream merch! I got the Disney Dream pin. It was then time for the shimmering seas soiree! They had complimentary drinks and a show. We headed to 50s/60s trivia at Pub 687. (we didn't win!). Time for dinner! Our dining rotation was Animator's Palate! I show you the menu here and all the food we ordered. We went back to the room and we saw our towel animal and the turn down service! We also had a 25th Anniversary gift of a painting!! I leave the vlog here get ready for next week for the next day on board the Disney Dream!!

How amazing that you were able to get on the ship so early and were able to get so much footage in an empty ship. You did such a great job giving an overview of The Dream. I have only used the spa on the smaller ships. They offer so much more in the bigger ship. I had no idea, thanks for sharing. Glad you had such a wonderful first day. Loved this video!! I was actually the very first person to re-board after it got commissioned in Bremerhaven, Germany when we were mounting Disney’s “Believe”. We actually got to live on board while we were rehearsing the show! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

I thought your lunch plate looked good..but then seeing Simon's plate his looked incredible!!! The noodles and rice with soy sauce, hope it was as good as it looked!!

Nice to explore the ship in relative peace and quiet before the vast majority of your fellow quests are on board.
Now I know you were invited by Disney and you have to say nice things but you could see the genuine excitement and emotion in your voice as you toured around.
The food in Cabanas looked great. I remember tucking into the carrot cake and Oreo cheesecake when we boarded The Wish.
The drinks in Skyline Bar looked very tasty especially as we don’t often see you drinking alcohol. And who isn’t drawn to a glowing ice cube. lol
Your cabin was more roomy than you normally choose. The complementary Prosecco was a nice surprise..
it’s a pity that the cruise you did while working for Disney don’t count towards Gold Membership. lol
We didn’t have a sail away party on The Wish or we missed it and it wasn’t because we were in the bar. 😂
I found the tables on The Wish a little cramped especially being in a wheelchair. Was it typical or fate that Dumbo appeared on screen as you entered Animators Palete. Pork tenderloin and the mint chocolate chip sundae for me. Nice start to the series. Sorry the comment was so long.

The castaway club gifts are actually nothing to do with the 25th anniversary they are just the new gifts going forward and don’t go back to original ones after the 25th sailings.

You said that Pink was supposed to be based on Dumbo, Why no dumbo art? It doesn't remind me of Dumbo at all. For me it isn't disney enough to claim to be inspired by a disney film.
