Walktest might not have been programmed to be functional on that panel. There are a lot of things on the newer addressable Siemens panels that have to be custom programmed.
No idea why HMS style hex key reset pulls even made it to the Siemens era of Pyrotronics. XMS or the RMS-1T rebrand pulls are way better and resets with spring loaded hex keys or just regular Siemens keys.
I think when you were doing walk test, you had to touch Enable on the panel screen. Thats probably how you Enable is tap on the blue Enable button on the screen instead of the actual buttons.
What a screwed up install! Not to mention badly-designed pulls (def reccomend a T-handled key for those), but the panel can't walktest, the annunciator takes 50 years to do anything, and I don't think the the ZHs were syncing with the LF sounders either... I thought Siemens made their stuff so proprietary to make it harder for crappy installers to use their products, but here we have this! xD
They should replace all these pull stations with Siemens XMS-D or RMS-1T pull stations because they use a key to reset which is very easy and fast than these slow as heck HMS-D pull stations and that the XMS-D ones work with the FireFinder panels and also I the panel needs a firmware update to allow walktest when there's a trouble condition and easier to navigate to it because that's just dumb to not let you do it when there's a trouble condition with also better responsive interactions with the buttons

Did wheelock sue Siemens for rebranding the horn strobes
Yikes. I can picture myself resetting a couple of BG-10’s and risk one of them breaking on me, thus replacing it with a 278B-1120.
Dom is like fire alarm
Remember this: Take your time resetting those next time you do the next inspection.

it should take a Siemens key on the side like the BG-10L, imo.
0:04 oh my gah
Wheelock ZNS like a NS
I think they have the same horn circuitry
Yeah those pull stations are a pain in the ass. I have an HMS-S and it’s not always cooperative with me.
absolutely love Siemens but I hate the reset on these pulls like everyone else lmao. MS151 is the best!!
Pretty cool! That test was a heck of a test

This is why I don’t like Siemens
I like Siemens. Sort of.
Gentex is better.
@@ACAAllertor125Agreed. I like Simplex too

Friggen Siemens!

Siemens got sued for making alarms very similar to Wheelock's (Such as the UMMT and its related products), so they had to rebrand Wheelock stuff.
