Spoilers . . . . . . . It's something about Oberon being the will of Britain to die. Britain knows that Merlin would probably prevent that, it hid Oberon from Merlin, making him invisible to his clairvoyance so that he wouldn't interfere. Of course it made it look weird to Merlin, seeing Ritsuka talking alone but that was what it was. Also a reason why Oberon says he won unlike other LB kings because what he wanted was the destruction of Britain and he got it.
Ok, hopefully someone can help answer this question for me: When the time comes should I try to get Oberon? Im definitely gonna go for Morgan and Koyanskaya but I haven’t completely decided on Oberon. While I admit he is quite powerful and useful in the right situations, it’s the demerits on his NP and second and third skills as well as being kinda incompatible with Merlin that are making me question getting him. Any advice would be appreciated.
According to wiki and gamepress Oberon's passive only works while he's on the field(I can't test this since I have neither of them) so when you want an Oberon buff on the last big NP turn you can use Merlin buff then plugsuit Oberon in.
A;so his 2nd skill demerit is not that big if you use him with a buster unit since buster unit doesn't refund np guage so -20 to 0 is still 0(It kinda hurts Artoria who has 20% refund but that's it)
The demerits aren’t too severe for min turns. If you have what it takes to 3-4 turn battles then definitely go for Oberon with any leftover SQ. Ofc, 2 years is a long while so better to plan it as late as possible.
You now know about Oberon’s passive but this comes from lostbelt 6. Merlin can’t see Oberon because of his class. It’s pretty funny if you think about it. If he can’t see him then he can’t protect him with his shield.

If I remember correctly, Merlin isn't a Grand Caster candidate but the current Grand Caster.

Oberon's 70% battery helps many servents to 3 turn loop (even those 20% battery only)
