I thought I would stop being a silly fangirl of bands 30 years ago. And played control, heard Poets of Fall and got dragged right back into it! ... but it is worth it.
The same thing happened to me a few years ago after playing Alan Wake. I thought I was done with this level of fangirling a couple of decades or so ago, too, but then Poets happened and suddenly I'm 14 again. 😂💜😅

That piano intro sounded a bit like the intro of Jealous Gods for some reason. It's incredible how they used piano for this song; only the Poets can take on something so challenging and execute with utter perfection!!!
When I heard the piano change to a quicker rhythm it put a smile on my face! The song takes on such a haunting beauty with the slower chorus and how Marko holds the notes. I've fallen in love with Lift a second time! ❤

There need to be more songs with piano solos. It sounds so beautiful! The crazy thing is that these acoustic sessions made me rediscover songs that weren't among my favourite but hit in a completely different way now.
