    1) How to center the pan on the induction coil?
    2) Is this as energy efficient as a regular induction cooktop, or some energy is wasted because of the poor magnetic permeability of the countertop slab?
    3) How to minimize staining of a granite countertop due to spills or splatters of oil/soy sauce etc. when cooking with this?

Why are none of the questions being answered? Seems like a lot of potential customers are waiting for responses? Typical customer service for this company?

This is a cute concept for those that despise their stove having a stovetop. Personally, I don't mind the room that I cook in looking like a kitchen, complete with stovetop and all. But that's just me.
Is you don't want a stovetop in your kitchen and prefer the look of just a countertop all around, this could be a way to go. But to me it seems too inconvenient: having to dig out the mats every time you want to cook, then having to play duck-duck-goose to find the exact cooking spot, opening drawers to find the controls, etc. For me it's not worth all those extra steps. Plus, as others have stated, I love my cast iron cookware and if I can't use my favorite cookware, this is not the stovetop for me!
But this would work great in a kitchen of someone that never cooks anyway.

Its a super cool concept that will appeal to a niche base. For me its just not "there yet" but I'll be looking forward to the evolution of this technology.

The Hexclad cookware is the same as cooking on cast iron. The pans have to be seasoned the same way.

@SpringFamLivLarge just because it's seasoned doesn't mean it's the same as cast... Hexclad isn't even close

This is a pretty cool bit of engineering and I really like it. Unfortunately, You really need to improve on The user experience side.
The touch panel is very unfriendly, and I think, is the weak leak of your product. I understand that you want to keep costs down but at north of $3,000, The user experience should be a primary focus.

How do you know exactly where the burner is when you want to cook?

    • @HardlyAMemory

We have used induction stoves in our two previous houses. We just got our invisicook installed in our new house today. When you turn the unit on, then choose what burner you want. The unit beeps until the pan is in the right spot. It stops beeping (and you can also feel a very slight vibration ) when it’s in the right spot. We are planning to keep the mats on the counter unless we need the full countertop for something.

Love the minimalism look of this, and I can just imagine how easy it will be to clean your cooktop area. However, that interface of the control panel looks super complicated and outdated. Looks more like something they were trying to invent when the first digital clock came out. Are you serious at this day and age with technology, this is what you came up with on the control panel????????. Also since this cooktop is install under the porcelain slab, how do you get the unit out for repair if something goes wrong? Can you explain about the installation too?

Great for in-laws suite having a single or double burner option. I would skip the presets- I never even use the presets in my microwave(not my style) but knowing that if someone forgets to turn off etc- this is much safer. Also the cool to touch feature 🙌🏻

Some systems have led lights that make a ring around the burner, you can't put it anywhere on the counter. This system needs led ring lights and a phone app or touchscreen control the user interface is so outdated

What are you talking about with cast iron getting too hot? It's got waay more thermal mass than sheet steel cookware. The cooktop has got certain maximal power output. Having to heat more material defknetely wont make it go too hot

    Hi may I ask?
What countertop surfaces should be used?
What should be considered if using synthetic quarts/granites?
Will any type of natural stone be compatible with the invisacook unit?

The controller needs an upgrade, it is left in the past very basic/ retro and not in the good ways we normally like. Prefer, think striking a match at a camp fire graphics similar to playing games on a touch pad etc because looks like there’s difficulty incorporating newest technology.

Does it matter if the countertop is NOT MARBLE? Also the person who installed the induction stove have the wires from the keyboard inside my draw that will tangle up with my utensils, how can I fix that problem? Finally at 70 years old, do you have a slower demonstration that I can follow step by step using that keyboard in my basement apartment with no ventilation in the kitchen.😢

Not a fan of digital (simple analog has less to go wrong and cheaper to replace) and can just see something happening to those mats.

  • @koenrobinne3060
    @koenrobinne3060 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

I got one for over a year now, and doesnt work..... First of all only gets a small pan hot. once you cook for 4 people, the coils are simply to small to heat a larger than small pan.
as soon as you move the pan a little, it starts beeping.
The lower settings dont fry anything, so results in looong cook times that destroys the food (cooking fish instead of frying it).
I have high quality pans, both stick and non stick, and ALWAYS use the invisa mat.
So give a demonstration with a larger pan, from cold pan to ready to fry. Then we will talk again.
For now, a huge and costly letdown on my new kitchen. I wish i stayed with gas, or anything else.
    Also no response from support.
