Do these players bring tens of millions of dollars to play or do they all bring like few hundred thousand dollars and grow it to 30, 40 million dollars? And do they have to play until someone gets their money wiped out? And if you win big can you quit or do you have to keep playing?
@MusicLuv80 it's a tournament, so they pay to enter and a set amount prize for the winner. Usually 100s of entrants . They all play on different tables of 8 - 10 people. People get knocked out until there is the right amount of players for the final table. The chip stack amounts do not represent money. The chips are merely used as a betting aide.
As a dealer...shut up. He is under the instruction of the tournament manager, Matt Savage in this case. If you opened your eyes and ears or had ever actually been to a real large tournament, you would know this is how it's done. You would kill yourself if you ever had to sit through a bubble bust where every all in is announced card by card while the whole room has to wait.
It's not the dealers choice, you absolute toolbag. That's like directing your anger towards the security guards at an airport because your flight is delayed.
The Dealer has to wait for the director's command (video team - sounds team ). They're making sure the sounds & video sync together on live or pre-recording games. If the table does not have any live video & sounds, then I'm sure the dealer with flip the wildcard within 2-3 seconds
The heart, soul, and understanding the dude in the red sweater exhibits is more than I ever could. My hat is off to him. Been there (not THERE, but ‘there’). I would NOT have been as collected as he was. None of us would have been. Class act.
WPT, Wynn, and ALL the announcers put on an amazing show! I watched every livestream and had a blast. Scott: definitely deserved to win it all! That Bud hat is iconic, and his reads were unreal. He detected some sort of tell around the neck area of Edward when the table was three-handed. That helped Scott know when to hero fold. Robert's neck area was covered by a scarf, making it harder for Scott to read him. Robert: I've been watching and playing Hold 'Em for 25 years. Without a doubt, Robert has the best in-hand poker face I've ever seen. He played very well two-handed and didn't betray at all how terrified he was heads up against Scott. Just cool as a cucumber for hours on end.
17:17 - when you know the poker gods don't like you, or you're a total NIT! Missed out on winning a 156 million pot and overwhelming chip count lead, but ends up winning it all.
Your comment makes no sense... are you calling the guy who folded AJo a nit and didn't deserve to win 1st place?! Scott (AJo holder) correctly cold-read that both Edward and Chris were strong pre-flop. If Scott stayed in all the way to the river, he would have made a set of jacks only and been behind Edward's boat of tens full of jacks.
How do these players make it this far going all in pre flop with 6’s and 10’s, when they are clearly behind, just horrendous poker, except Scott he’s an actual player, knows how to fold
@bsz5745 it all depends on the situation. Its nuanced. What position are you in, how many blinds do you have left, what's your table image, how many ppl are in the pot, etc.

Both players played so bad the 1st hand..why go All-In with Aces heads up? AQ would have folded, why show so much strength? And the 4x snap call by AQ without even stop to think for a moment. Well to be fair it would have gone all-in on the flop anyway but nonetheless still an awful play, could have gotten the minimum with AA. Jokers
i really miss when the event was televised and easy to see, and had funny announcers and interesting players...

Really poor summary coverage, Edward holding chip lead double other two players one hand, short stack next hand shown. WTF IS THAT
Yeah that is bush league coverage.
Do they have to play until others have zero money? And if you win a game can you quit?
@28:20, If you were watching the live streaming, this is exactly where they went to a commercial! Perfect timing. It was all over when they returned.
20 minutes of entertainment crammed into an hour. bring back Mike and Vince
The poker dream is alive and well.
we’re just not gonna cover how Edward went from chip lead to having the short stack?
I f**king hate that the dealer waits so long just to build tension. Flip the card dude.
It’s called building an audience and the tension. It might suck if you’re in the hand but if you’re watching the people and the emotion it’s great.

You've probably only ever played freerolls if you think the dealer is deciding when to deal on final tables of big tournaments.

bring back the old WPT - this is boringggg

Big Moneymaker vibes from Scott and the final table, GG
I wonder if bubba gump still pimps a bud hat these days. LOL
Wow I guess mi poker level playing is way above these people going all in final table final two with pokers 66 wow
Omg , the commentary in the history of poker. I wish he just wouldn’t talk

Big Dirty won
2025 must have have 12,000 players next season ending with a $50m prizepool with $6 million 1st place prize
Those were some Chris Moneymaker hands
Those are really aweful chairs for a WPT Final Table😢
Edward folded a 2 of spades and they show that 2 of spades is a possible out - this affects the odds - can't get a card that has been folded.
Yo please fix the crazy clipping on your audio recording, this is torture to listen to

@@jake9705 You're right. Bad read from me. Had I been in the same spot I would've lost, because AJ in that position is too strong to fold.
second time saw chris knocked out
why was the crowd chanting "usa" ?
definitely NOT a 23 million tourney if 5th place was 600,000K
the dealer shouldn't be able to take this long and they should make a rule, if your not sitting a the table your hand is void
stop playing with the dam cards and deal
thanks god i fast forward, they waste 5 min dealing the cards
