Impressive log. Crazy wide boards coming off 2 at a time. Its always aggravating when you get a big log opened up and discover there isnt buried treasure inside. Lol. Nice video
Just a little more waste with a vertical edger being the head sawyer and edger operator you got a split second when coming back with the carriage how your going to edge that board They are great setups a lot of different companies offer the same thing helle or cardinal for exemple. Helle has a new one that has presets for the edger which is pretty cool
I’m not going to lie. I’ve seen and cut poplars larger. Maybe not in circumference. But some of the sticks have been close and over 50 ft long. I recently slammed a White Oak much larger. And yes! Central Indiana! The best hardwood in the world
Just found this chanel and this is the second video .i've watched. One thing I noticed .Is the sawdust on the floor and everywhere. A real fire hazard. Do you ever do a cleanup ?
I explain it in a couple past videos. The top of the bottom saw leans into the log. And the top saw leans out. It’s not near as bad in smaller logs that require the top saw. Remember everything that comes off of the saw will more than likely get plained and finished out

I have never seen this type of mill, impressive that you cut dimensional boards out while milling. Seems more efficient.

What would cause the blades to lean and why in differing directions?
The blade being sharp makes it lean in. And the saw being dull makes it lean out. The feed rate also makes it lean in more
