That's a big ass poplar. Size wise it reminds me of the spruce and Doulas Fir that we sawed at a mill I worked at during the early seventies in the southern interior of British Columbia
You’re doing great buddy! And as you gain experience with TH-cam, you’ll find creative and new ways to film and get great footage. It’s just a matter of time.
1:17 Nice, no, awesome mill and videos. When are you going to replace that belt? If you do, don't edit any of it out. Thank you for sharing, Artemus in So-Cal.
Not to long ago you said you put different teeth on your blade. Can you show the difference and explain benefits of one vs other. Also how often do you sharpen? I like when you comentate, i learn from how you read a log....helps me on my little ol bandsaw
Great video 👍 Maybe this is a stupid question, but what does the dial at the front of your carriage indicate? Sorry if I'm not using the right term. I'm assuming it is the distance from the dogs to the blade.
Nice bunch of lumber there. The customer should be more than happy with it. BTW, does your dad still saw, and how is the rest of the family doing? I hope they are all doing as was as can be expected.
Bill, is Ian's Grandfather, and he is not currently sawing, but does still participate and help out as needed. He is here every Saturday 8-noon as well.
That’s pretty cool when you can pull 2 dimensional boards off in 1 pass. How are the rpm’s matched up between the saw blade and those edger blades? Nice sawing bud. What are those cants used for pallet boards? Thanks for sharing this video
Thanks u!
You have the best true sawing channel on TH-cam. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful job the mill is doing 😊

You are fine! The commentary is good!
It’s nice to have a narrative about what you are doing!
Your sawmill is great, all operated by machines. Best 👍
It's amazing to see how skilled operators can transform such large logs into usable lumber.
As much as I like watching cutting could you possibly show the log turner as well some shots of the carriage thanks Peter W Melbourne Australia
Yes!
It is always fun to watch you mill. I have a Wood-Mizer LX150 and I use what I learn from you at my own little mill. Thanks!
Make sure to share the video! Everyone loves seeing big timber!

Yes!! All of that will be coming soon:)
Is your saw blade powerful enough to cut through nails or do you use a metal detector beforehand?
I rarely cut through nails. And ya it’ll go through them😂 Then I have to stop and see how much needs done to the teeth
Great video 👍 Maybe this is a stupid question, but what does the dial at the front of your carriage indicate? Sorry if I'm not using the right term. I'm assuming it is the distance from the dogs to the blade.
Yes pretty much! I call it a dial or indicator. It tells me the distance from the bunks to blade. It’s what I base my sets off of
소나무 ,적송 소나무 수십 그루. 빼면.. 기타 나무 3000그루는 땔감 수준.

Your audio is perfect, do you have a link? I’m in the market. Thanks

Yes, pallet boards!
Do you have a lumber grader? Do you think it would help to have one at the mill?
What is the machine over your right shoulder is it an old loader
Nice
cut so fast
What is the species of the poplar?
Tulip!
@@Helmsburgsawmill We don’t have much here in NY but when I was in forestry school at Michigan State, it was widespread. Liriodendron tulipifera.
