I always jump in a car before starting ,I never stand up by the door n do it as I always have this worry it’ll just shoot off, u we’re unlucky tho u nearly stopped it,

BMW's always suffer failed slave or master cylinder seals when they stand unused for months. Thankfully a relatively cheap and easy fix though. Have you done the M50 inlet swap on your car yet? It gives a pretty decent increase in power and is easily done. Anyway, good to see another Cornish E36 getting some love. I'm near Truro and have a pretty rare 318is saloon.
