- I flew down to Florida to meet up with my buddy Carter for a week of snook fishing. Our main goal was to catch a snook from the beach. We constantly battled the weather and tides, giving our best effort to explore the area in search of fish.

I just realized this is in my backyard! I recognize about 90% of the spots you were fishing, I think I will have to fish them harder lol. Keep up the great work can't wait to see the sequel🤙
Great video! I recognize that guy you’re fishing with! Congrats on the wedding, Will!
Loving the connection between Wild Fly, Fish Hawk (ATL stand up) and snook on the fly!! Lesssss Goooo!
Yeeew! Glad you dig it
Love the Fish Hawk!
I was in Atlanta for a while in early 90’s and the first thing I did was look for a flyshop and found the FishHawk in Buckhead ! My first Loomis flyrod was from there in the IMX ! At that time I think Loomis were the pioneers in high end graphite rods!
Florida's fishing is completely underrated. The Snook go out on the beaches on both coasts in the summer.
Awesome.... I fly Fish South West Florida for Snook.... Love the Surf at Daybreak and Evening... Lots and Lots of fun... Simplicity with Miles of Walking.... It's still Great
Another great video, I really like the drone footage of the takes on the beach, keep them coming, thank you!
Thanks, will do!
@@PhelpsontheFly I have been watching it every day. It's on my daily favorites list!
Great adventure! Enjoyed it!
Another great episode! Cheers from WA
Much appreciated!
This was awesome! Your editing is getting so damn good Will, inspirational work my friend. Keep 'em coming!

This is so underrated homie. Great stuff🤙🔥
Nice one! Enjoyed watching!
Dude. This was such a sick video!
Man this is so dope!
That was awesome loved it.
Thanks!
sees shark "oh nice yeah that's a shark" sees numerous stingrays "oh yeah look at those rays" sees fish "OH MY GOD THAT'S A FISH THAT'S A BIG FISH!!!"
just focusing on what's important lol ;)
THIS IS EPIC!
Very cool. My favorite kind if fishing, sight casting right on the beach. And also getting your ass kicked by weather is so typical.
U should try the south end of Hutchinson island. I think it's called sailfish point.
they were basically...they were on the south side of the inlet
I have watched this video probably 10x’s in the last two days and it makes me want to quit everything, head south and chase fish in the salt.
The drone eat was sooooo sick
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@PhelpsontheFly What weight rod did you use on this trip? I am a trout fisherman who wants to start fly fishing salt water this coming year. Just curious what you like equipment wise?
great video. snook breed during the summer months on the beach during moon phase. small guys chasing big girls around. Clousers are an important part of beach fishing. Quality fish are caught b/f daybreak ~ Juno pier, beach inlets, etc.
Good stuff bro!
Beautiful video! That shark was way close to the sand... scary.
BadAss!
Yellow dog is the shit! Andros Bonefish with my good friend Keith and his boy Ian from Yellow Dog years ago. I live in WPB and Flyfish for Snook on the beach. Good stuff guys!
Show 👍
STRIPPING BASKET!
those are for nerds
@@PhelpsontheFlynerds who catch big beach snook!
great video bud what wt set up ?
Great Video! What are those long pants you are wearing while on the paddle board?
It’s always the walk back no adrenaline to carry you back
Looks like a good time. Pretty sure one gallon of Modelo contains at least two gallons of water
The weather sucked. The conditions sucked. You guys should try winter steelheading 😆
Recognizing and overcoming adverse conditions is one of my favorite parts of fly fishing. I’m super keen on giving winter steelheading a try. Love the challenge!
I can get you a giant in this area let me know. Would be more then willing to put you on love your videos.
One more thing- would love to know what you guys were throwing…
We initially were fishing smaller baitfish patterns (pretty much all just EP minnows and deceivers) then started sizing up for the bigger fish. The big girls didn't seem to be interested in smaller flies we were throwing but the smaller snook hammered them.
Wait, were you guys fly fishing? You kept saying snook on the fly, but I still wasn’t sure. Small fish are easy.
Gulf coast Tampa to the keys has better snook fishing and more easily accessible water. Give the Bay Area a shot next time. We don’t get the mullet run but a lot of fish
