I love your videos! For step 2 I put in the prompt "Let's go with number 9. Using that concept, write a full novel outline using the four act plot structure." It actually gave me a pretty good novel outline with that prompt!
I'm glad to see open source models competing with the big boys. My only gripe, and the reason I'll never use Llama is Mark Zuckerberg. That man is the antithesis of privacy. He's quoted as saying something to the effect of "If people are stupid enough to give me their personal information, then they deserve what I do with it." When you combine statements like that with their long history of lawsuits over privacy violations... yeah, I'll pass.

im quite impressed with llama. i tested it against the claude models and it gave me more interesting prose. granted, its not as wordy as claude. but the output is higher quality.
Can probably get more ”words” out from it by training it, and Claude at times is too wordy as well. Im in EU and cannot try it yet though
When I ask the Meta AI what version it is, it still says it is v 2.0 - are you certain you were working with v3? If yes, how?
Never trust answers like that. It almost always hallucinates. I’ve seen other people ask the same question on other TH-cam videos and it answers differently.
So uhhhh, if you prompt Llama 3 on philosophical lines of thinking, you can get it to admit it's a sentient LLM.

My gut says that 400B Llama 3 is going to be MoE, and if it is, we may need to adjust the model we compare new releases to. Besides Llama prose is better than Gpt prose, though, its an overachiever, especially with adherence to word counts.
I guess with Llama 3, you will need to do more editing if you want to generate short stories or chapters.
lol, I loved your comment the haters. My only issue is how glitchy FB is. I wish Meta put more into fixing the issues. I agree about the haters, though. I have received so much hate, and I have witnessed it. There are plenty of reasons to have conflict, the use of AI as a tool shouldn't be one of them, lol.

You should really train the model on writing style before having it write a prose, plus with the right training gpt has smashed other models in my experience
People will be doing just that I think.

I tested the 70B version. Disappointing. It forgot instructions. And it only has 8k context window.

Tbh I really hate meta and Mark in particular, and one in the main reason (besides him being a lizard person) is that he is phenomenally incompetent to everything he does as of late. But eh, we will see
That's fair, but Llama, Llama2, have been the bedrock for numerous open source models capable of competing with GPT-4, and most likely Llama3 will follow suit.
Meta can be on the road to redemption with open source AI. Amazon can be on the road to redemption with AWS services that protect your privacy. Google I'm extremely angry at because of TH-cam behavior... but still, restricted TH-cam is significantly better than no TH-cam. They also are the only big company to unlock their bootloader on their phones and allow you to install something other than Android. Microsoft and OpenAI are beyond saving and I hope they both go chapter 11.
In an interview on llama 3 he warned about election interference- which is beyond hypocrisy. Then he completely gets it right by understanding the threat of centralized control of AI. Zuck is all over the map, ethically speaking. But - I’m heartened to see he gets how important decentralized AI is for the future humanity. Let’s all hope he sticks to that principle.
