Always tempting to overstyle this car has a perfect set of upgrades. Wheels are especially prone to being over done love the look of this performance styed wheel and brake combo. Whoever did this build understands less is more IMO. Thanks for the look. I had a white letter slick tire custom installed by my older brother on my 70 Mustang... CCM Mustang with the 3 speed shifter. I could squeal that tire on our deck was so cool. I am 58 showing my age.
Remember my sister buying a 69 with the 396 beat up car as transportation in the late 70s and that thing would smoke the tires without trying. Cars like these were a dime a dozen back then. If we only knew the future
Chevelle wheelbase went from 115 to 112 inches in 1968 , Camaros had 108 inch wheelbase. Rocker panel molding is supposed to run all the way to the rear bumper, this car's molding stops at the front tire like a '69 Chevelle.
So was it really a stick car I did notice the prndl in the dash also the left rear sail panel was wrinkly nice car as I am a chevelle guy I own a real ss 396 auto 12 bolt which now has a 468 in it from my late race car also turbo 400 trans again nice car but details can be picked out by people who know there model cars
I like a 427. they have nothing in their class. 4 bolt main bearing caps, 4 of'm, forged steel crank n connecting rods n pistons 8 of'm rectangle port lgvlv iron heads, L88 solid lifter camshaft, high volume oil pump! hi-perf timing chain&gear set low profile dual plane intake manifold
Nothing looks more stupid than one someone puts 18 inch wheels on their car and has those tiny 10.5 inch rotors showing through the spokes. Big wheels need big brakes!

I had a 65 impala ss 396 /4speed. I put in a 402 BB. I could out run anything but a gas station lol. Black with white interior. Miss it !!!!

Well there is one other thing that I can say looks worse. And that is the 18"+ wheels. Just by themselves.
