    I highly recommend spending a little more and don't get the base model. Especially if it snows where you live. I couldn't even get 2 miles to my storage to put some weight in the back. Got stuck. It has no tow bars in front. Also no tow hitch on back. I haven't even had time to order a cover for the back. I know it needs weight over the rear wheels, but still the worst of any truck I've had in the snow. It's worth it to get 4x4 or higher trim level. If you can afford the 2023, it's worth it. If I was still in San Diego, I would like it better, but in Colorado I'm ready to upgrade after 1 month.

    Thanks for the vid. I'm checking out my options in smaller pickups. I currently have a 2007 GMC Canyon. It's been a great truck overall and served its purpose well. It's the SL regular cab, 4x2 model. It has vinyl upholstery and flooring. Column shifter. Basic AM/FM radio. Manual windows, locks, and mirrors. The only options it has are tilt wheel and cruise control. It serves my needs perfectly and I don't need anything more. This new WT trim looks like a well-equipped car inside in comparison. I wish they offered a more stripped, basic version for a lower price.

      Another one of my friends has a F-150, it has the two piece spark plugs on the 5.4 l and it was like two grand to retrieve the broken piece.
      also every time I've been stranded on the side of the road it has been in a Chevy so there's that. Brand New Silverado at the time...think it was an 08 Duramax, and my friends Malibu for example.
      that's why I just keep my old 93 Ranger roll up Windows manual transmission two-wheel drive and the four liter v6 it's a cockroach

    • @cryengine_x
      @cryengine_x 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      nice thing about the ranger is the base engine (the only engine!) is a 270 HP 4 turboboost 4. This means even the entry level model basically has an equivalent engine to a V6 in other trucks. overall they still cost about the same as a colorado with a v6 tho, lol.

    • @GH-oi2jf
      @GH-oi2jf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cryengine_x - I don’t like turbochargers. They are just another thing to have trouble with. My Colorado has 200 HP and that’s enough.

    • @cryengine_x
      @cryengine_x 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GH-oi2jf Yeah, similar I have a 4 cylinder 08 canyon. It's honestly "fine" like you say. However I've never owned any v6 truck, all 3 truck's I've ever owned have been 4 cylinder (and one of those, my 94 Isuzu, was criminally underpowered and probably left me scarred for life lol. I believe it made about 96 HP (not an exaggeration, I looked it up) and took about 4 years to get 0-60) and if I'm spending over 20k on a truck, I figure I should spend just a little more and get what I want (meaning the Colorado here, or considering the Ranger Turbo the same as a V6 effectively). Ideally I'd want the Crew Cab, the V6, and 4WD, but if I have to prioritize just one for cost reasons I think it will be the V6, as both the larger cab and 4WD would be nice but I wont really use them that often. Too be fair the v6 isn't necessary either, I'd just enjoy a little more oomph around town and merging. Gas mileage is almost the same anyway. i agree turbochargers may be trouble, but for whatever it's worth one of the review place said Colorado was the worst of any truck I believe for reliability (it was some JD power thing, not initial quality), so who knows really. Also I think the Turbo in the Ranger is in like the f-150 and the explorer, so hopefully they've worked the kinks out, The thing is because of enviro regs everything is going to turbo's, it's unfortunately apparently the future like it or not.
