- Cassper has been making noise about how Hiphop is full of politics compared to Amapiano ,he’s been urging other cats to follow suit ,but it looks like this doesn’t sit well with everyone else ..what’s your take ?..

Scoop is flip flopping now and he has hesitantly given Cassper his flowers. Cassper should just tell him to f off. Cassper owns no one. They only see that he is a great artist now that he decided to live.
The only thing I find weird about Scoop for saying what he’s saying ,is the fact that he was on an interview sometime during lockdown,and he said he doesn’t listen to Hiphop anymore ,he said it’s because Hiphop is a corrupt music and it also corrupts the mind ,he said He didn’t know this all these years ,and now that he was on lockdown,he decided to start listening to neosoul and RnB ,he said he will no longer listen to Hiphop ,and he wishes young niggas can know this and protect their mind …
Now he turns around and says this about Cass …
When you're a musician you are not dictated by genre, snoop Dogg made a Reggae Album, Gospel Album and Hip Hop albums... As long as a track is hot is hot, And I don't see why Artists can't jump into other genres @ the end of the day everyone's gotta eat....
The only problem comes when you talk shit about the genre that made u so to welcomed by the other
I love hip hop generally, I consume it. Personally I am starting to find SA hip hop very toxic and I honestly don't think he is the only hip hop artist who is responsible for the toxicity just that some others are not confronted or spoken about that way which then begs the question...

@@CornerHouse_Media I’ll do that, I watched the Costa vid, but I had already seen that interview… I genuinely don’t have a problem with Cass, I actually enjoy some of his music, he’s currently causing the beef and issues and then says everyone is against him when he’s not only beefing with rappers but even Prince Kaybee who isn’t in either genre he’s in. He actually likes the drama but acts like he doesn’t.

I agree with Scoop, hip hop has become way too political - where the people vote, regardless of their knowledge and history on hip hop, and rules. Its our pastime in South Africa where the majority generally makes a controversial decision. Also with hip hop when new sounds start getting traction there will always be debates. whether heads agree with whos on top or not or whats hot or not; i think best we keep the freestyle shows like Ciz and Scoop, Sortra Cyphers, Teambackpack etc going because that will balance things a bit and lets cats with insane skills shine and do amazing things for the culture. The diversity of SA hip hop is still underrated and unexplored.

I mean rap shouldn't be dictated by what USA is doing, our identity was in a way founded/based of Kuwaito, and I do believe we can rap over Yano beats.
