Findus crispy pancakes. That really is nostalgia. I used to love the cheese and ham ones with proper home made chips (deep-fried in the battered old chip pan) and peas. 😊

Hi Amanda hope your well and Ian. Yes they were Findus remember buying those, oh my word happy days. Really admire you to making fab videos and from scratch. Love you both. ANN IN CUMBRIA.XX. 🎉🎉🎉🎉.
I am the same age as Ian, and I don't ever remember savory filled pancakes. Yes, with sugar and lemon. Particularly coated and then fried afterwards. Yum x
Ooo I loved going to my friends house in the 80’s, they had Birds Eye Beef Crispy Pancakes for tea on a Friday. Absolutely loved them. I’m showing this to my husband later and see if he fancies your version. I’m salivating 😂😂. Thanks guys xx
@@thedinnerlady9180 I’m sure we will, I’m passing the cooking on to my husband in a month, for about 9 months, now that’s going to be an interesting experience, he does try bless him and his roasts are amazing, but he very much has his limits. It’s the encouragement I will need to recover ASAP 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️
One of the things I like about your posts is you show cooking and producing scrummy meals in normal circumstances, like during your lunch hour or when you come in after work, because that’s reality for most of us. The glamorous Chefs in glamorous kitchens with people to help produce them have their place, nice to watch, you show it how it is for a lot of us, another lovely meal 😊😊
Findus pancakes , how funny you are making them this evening, I was at the shops earlier and I had a look to see if they still made them , same reason nostalgia, yours look great xxx
Lovely jubbly, I remember the Findus one's but these look way better, Your channel has a treasure trove of recipes of which I make on a regular basis so Thank you. I bought some turkey from Aldi yesterday to make your turkey pot pie for tea tonight. 🙂
Hello my friends I love crispy pancakes minced beef my favourite I'm definitely making them your way oh could I use panko breadcrumbs bestwishes from Swansea South Wales
Oh man findus crispy pancakes you can still buy them in the freezer shop this takes me back. Going to have to buy some. Chips and beans perfectly accompaniment and obviously brown sauce 😂😂
OMG!! Amanda, these look great. I’ve never heard of or tasted crispy pancakes. I’ve had savoury and sweet pancakes, I had pancakes for breakfast when my granddaughter stayed las5 weekend and we both had lemon and sugar on them, yum yum. I tell you as fiddly as these pancakes were I’ll be making them, my mouth is watering. My mum may have made them but I don’t remember or maybe Dad made them cos he used to cook the pancakes and sweet stuff but I just can’t remember, I’ll ask my older sister, her memory is better than mine lol. I’ve got to make them though, I can’t wait to eat these.😊😊😊. Have a great weekend guys. See both of you with the next videos.
This is a trip down memory lane Mandy, but your crispy pancakes look far superior to the findus ones! They look so yummy, thanks for sharing, can't wait to try these x
Brilliant idea ive never made them x i also done cornedbeef to make loads of meals as i had 4 daughters x i can remember cornedbeef at 49p i got a tin in aldi on monday and it was £2.09 for there own make 😮x
Blast from the past. We hardly had these growing up but remember them well. Bought some for the grandchildren few years back and they were terrible and tiny. Inspired by you to try making my own. Roast chicken tomorrow so chicken crispy pancakes Monday maybe. Thanks
Smashing. My father used to make these (similar). I cheat and make something similar with puff pastry. I’ve watched a lot of your videos. Subscribing now.
I started making these pancakes a few years ago and my daughter loves them. We've never tried them with a savoury filling we always put butter on with strawberry jam or maple syrup.
Lovely! Yours turned out way better than the ones I made a couple of weeks ago lol! Couldn't even dip ours and had to just brush with egg and sprinkle the crumbs over. Yours look delicious xx
Look absolutely lovely Mandi, loads of filling in ,not like in the day findus and birds eye hardly any filling, and my favourite was chicken and mushroom filling Ian xx😊
Never seen these before, but looked very good,I only remember crepes on Shrove Tuesday with lemon, and sugar.Interesting how the World over people make these sort of turnovers with different fillings, and different holders, puff pastry, tortillas, short crust pastry, even rolled out pieces of bread, then filled, crepes, and all delicious.I think flour tortillas could be breaded like this,if you didn’t have time to make crepes.Crepes can be stacked, and refrigerated,or frozen,I made a lot at one time in my job,and filled them over a few days, just sweet fillings.Plantain flour makes nice pancakes,I filled with caramelized bananas, and brushed them with chocolate, rum ice cream is good with them.😊
I've been meaning to get one for ages, so you just gave me the nudge I needed, arriving from Amazon in about a week. I'll let you know how it works 😀 xx
Findus minced beef n onion pancakes were lovely back in the day. They messed with the recipe a while back. Ended up not so nice. Going give your version a go Mand. Looks the business.x

Yours look a whole lot nicer than the Findus ones! I ‘treated’ my kids to them once and they didn’t rate them - I thought good, that’ll save a few pennies 😂
Delicious i remember these things giving my tongue third degree burns in the 80's but back then my parent's told me to eat it or i wouldn't get any Pudding - Happy Days 🙃 but the pudding was a huge tub of raspberry ripple ice cream so there was an incentive there for sure
For those who aren’t old enough to remember Findus crispy pancakes this is a pretty accurate recreation of the original product except that they were much smaller. For those who are too lazy to make their own, they have in fact quietly been re-launched in a couple of versions and are available from both Asda and Morrisons, or at least they are around where I live (West Yorkshire). I don’t remember what company are making them but they are in the freezers. My favourite back in the day was the chicken and bacon variety.
