Hey, Mish! Another great day with a little bit of everything! A nice silver pendant, some goldies, coffee money, an old ring and a poor man's ring! Of course, you also got your sinkers and Jack Daniels bottle cap. Any day wouldn't be complete without those. I see some other viewers also recognized the shaft bearing bushing for a crankshaft or rotating machine part. I sent a photo of one just for comparison. Now for your dinosaur joke.....What do Triceratops sit on? Their Tricerabottoms. Sorry. I figured out a while ago that the signals you get are based on several bits of information, but I always thought the material was the biggest determination of what the target is. That's why you block some signals out so you can concentrate on particular materials and not waste time on garbage. I also knew that size and position of the object also gave you certain signals you could key on to identify what the target was before you dug it up. Then there's depth, composition of the soil and even the direction of which way you swing. Put all of that together and you get a possible ID. I mention all of this because I was amazed when you said, "...figured it would be a copper nail but just want to show you how little those targets can get." In other words, just by the signal you knew it was copper. You knew it was a nail. And you knew it was a small copper nail......yes, Mish. Is it the new machine or are you just that good? I think it's you. Looking forward to your next adventure! Later, friend! Yes ,I could hear the waves......
You're going to be good at this detecting thing when you pick up a machine. Correct on all counts. My logic for the copper nail - it was a mid-high signal (copper is highly conductive so will give a relatively high tone, but the small size of the target reduces the ID a little compared to say a copper coin). The signals are clearer in one direction than they are on a 90º angled approach. They cut in and out super quickly (small target) and are a little bit jumpy due to the irregular sizing, nails also have this tendency to 'squeak' a high tone in among some lower tones. Lastly... similar weight targets tend to accumulate together on a beach, so where there's one copper nail, there's usually more. 😉 Nice joke. 😆 Cheers!!
Gday Mish. The brass thing is a split bush. Goes over a shaft and sits in a casing. 2 halves. One on the top will have a hole for oil or grease and the other goes in the bottom casing. They are split so you don’t have to strip everything off the shaft to put it in position. I think the square thing with the rounded corners is from an old battery. Even older than me. Cheers “Dad”

Anytime you can get outdoors is a good time. Still quite cold here near Chicago but getting there. I had a quick question if you don’t mind? Have you ever tested the Garrett brand of metal detectors? Was just curious. Have a great day!
Hi Bob! I personally haven’t used any of the Garrett range sorry, none of my detecting buddies have them either. They are sold here but given that Minelab’s HQ is in Australia, ML has a very strong presence here compared to other brands. Cheers 😄
Great hunt even though the weather wasn't the best, the little pendant is cool and I wondered what the white lead was on the machine, so it is an antenna is that right ? xo
Hiya Deb, thanks for popping in on the live too! :) Yes that's correct. Unlike the Equinox, the Deus 2's coil connects wirelessly to the control unit, so if it's not submerged you don't need any cable at all.. the antenna cable is just so that you can still get a signal if the coil (or the whole machine!) is underwater. Knowing how often I like to go splash, I'll probably work out some sort of solution for keeping it permanently rigged up but I'll dress it up a bit too. 😁
Another great vid Mish. How are you finding the deus 11 after using the nox? How are you going with the technology it has? I'm curious as to whether all the tech is really help with the finds!
A bunch of people want me to make a comparison video so I'll definitely do one of those, but long story short, absolutely loving the learning curve and (in my opinion) it seems to be finding stuff I've walked over previously with the 'nox. Cheers Tim :)

The lead shark fin is of a squid jig I get heaps of them down Werribee and Altona
Thanks Mark! :)
Enjoyed the hunt. Liked and subbed. Best of luck!
Welcome to my channel, glad you enjoyed the hunt - plenty more on the way. Cheers :)
Cheers 😄
A wee bit breezy was it ? I bet the coffee went down well afterwards. Some interesting finds and liked the info on the ray .
The coffee went down a treat!! Was a little chilly after this hunt 😁
Awsome video 😀
Those detectors seem to work good :)
Look, I'm not about to write in a complaint about it... 😂
🙋♀️1967 here!! Great year 😝
Woohoo, I finally got one! 😆 hehe cheers Cindy!!
Great videos! What kind of watch do you have? Best of luck with all your finds.
Thank you! The watch is a Suunto D5 (dive computer as well as a watch). Cheers 😊
@@DirtFishMish Thank you for your response. Best of luck with all your endeavors. God bless you
Like 264 great coins and sinkers hunt,as always 😁 hi Mish 💪🇮🇹👋
Grazie! 😄
@@DirtFishMish 😁👋
I PRESSED THE LIKE BUTTON 👍, BUT...I LOVE YOUR VIDEO'S ❤️
Gasket material to use to make a gasket
Another great vid Mish. How are you finding the deus 11 after using the nox? How are you going with the technology it has? I'm curious as to whether all the tech is really help with the finds!
A bunch of people want me to make a comparison video so I'll definitely do one of those, but long story short, absolutely loving the learning curve and (in my opinion) it seems to be finding stuff I've walked over previously with the 'nox. Cheers Tim :)
It's a brass bearing race from something large
I ended up tumbling it to keep it as a display stand, it took quite some time to remove the grease from it though! 😂
A few days ago, I found a one dollar bill in the same spot I found the gold ring a while back. The ground behind my car is getting to be a real honey hole. LOL!
Who needs a detector, hey? 😂 You'll end up looking downwards all the time at this rate! Can't wait to hear about what you find there next. 😉 Cheers Tana!
@@DirtFishMish I always look down. Whoever made up the saying, "Keep your chin up!" just wanted to find all the good stuff on the ground themselves. : )
I used to find things all the time, but now we have a huge homeless population wandering the streets looking for money and cigarette butts. The competition for finding things has gotten pretty tough. : )
WHAT KIND OF METAL DETECTOR ARE YOU USING, I'VE NOTICED THAT THE CONTROL BOX BUTTONS ARE DIFFERENT ON THE ONE YOUR USING COMPAIRED TO THE MINELAB 800 BUTTONS.
The square thing is an old battery cell 👍
Thank you Lou! 😄
could you tell me where i can get scoop pole like you got? thanks
from sitoscoop.com :)
👍👍👍😎
Oh…. My dinosaur joke..
How do you ask a dinosaur to lunch?
Tea, Rex? 😆
🤣🦖
Love it!!
The 3.5 lead weight is from a squid jig
Thanks mate 😊
Wht progr use beach modifique?
I used 'Beach' program, reactivity changed to 1.5 😁 Cheers!
Howdy Mish, What game do dinosaurs like to play with humans? Answer - Squash. I reckon our weather is about even now. It's chilly here too but it's getting warmer. That was a fun and interesting hunt. Everything from old boat parts, to silver jewelry, to coffee money and of course sinkers. Is that beach on a bay or is there an island out there? Take care and have a great seek (pun or typo?) - roelf
Love the joke 😂
I’ll have to play coy on the location info unfortunately Roelf, playing close to home and all! I know you’ll understand. 😊 but I agree, these hunts are my favourite type - far better than getting the same target every time. Cheers mate. 😊
bushing
Which dinosaur slept all day? Dino-snores!
❤️❤️
Hey mish. Have not spoke to u in a while . So why the change to the Xp deus 2. Let me know. U we’re such a minelab user . Cheers Brad Dove.
Hi Brad, I wanted a new challenge but I also needed a decent coin/relic machine that was submersible more than 3 metres (this one goes to 20M). So it was just a case of finding a machine that suits the majority of my needs. Nothing against ML. Cheers mate 😁
Hi Mish, have you decided to keep the Deus 2 ? It seems to me like you are finding more coins with it. Take care, John
Hi John, yes I have. I know I haven't formally announced it as such but maybe I should make a short sometime to do so. I agree, I'm covering old ground (soil) and finding more targets than ever before in those spaces. Cheers mate!
That square item looks like an old battery
Two piece brass bushing.
Thank you!
Did you keep your Nox?
One of them! 😉
Goodmorning Mish, the only dinosaur joke I can think of was from Jurassic park, something to do with a doyouthehesawus rex, sorry Mish, thats all ive got. no sunshine here for a couple of days either, almost feels like winter, Brrrr! Oh! bottle caps, my arch nemesis, just when you think you might be on to something good, I once threatened a tom piper bottle cap with a black eye, him with his jaunty robin hood cap and smiling face, im sure he was mocking me, Cheers Mish!
I've had a few Tom Piper caps myself so I know exactly how enticing they can sound while in the ground!! Cheeky sods. It has been so cold this week, I've had to break out a heater at work for the first time this year in recent days. Ah well, should make for nice empty beaches for me to wander along - if I don't mind getting swept away!! Cheers mate.
@@DirtFishMishIve just made myself spend the last 4 hrs trying to edit my films, only to have it glitch on me and wipe it all away, I think I will have to save it every 20 min or so, just to prevent the the total loss, but my heater is going right now and im warm and comfortable, I think I would have been better off cold and detecting, at least I would be happier than I was a few minutes ago, Ahh! cold or warm, detecting a vacant beach sounds like heaven to me right now, there's a few hrs of daylight left, I just might head out and revitalize myself, 1 coin would do the job, Cheers Mish!
@@waynearmstrong4757 go get that one coin - actually let's be bold and double it to two! Happy hunting mate.
@@DirtFishMishStepped out the door, and the rain began to fall, About Face! quick march! straight back to the couch and heater, and start with the editing again, What can possibly go wrong, he says, with a worried look upon his face, Sorry Mish, I wimped out, but thats not to say I wont find those coins tomorrow. wimpyness permitting, Cheers!
What do you call a dinosaur with one eye.
Why did the pterodactyl go quietly behind the tree?
So he could have a silent pee!
🤣🤣🤣 love this one!
Your mystery item is a brass fuel tap from an older type lawn mower
Thanks Laurie!
Watch the german bloke in( Metal detecting 24.) He plays with his Deius (and other things)
hi mish good hunt but used gloves always!
There are some locations where I won’t go without them, but I will make that risk assessment per each location, improved tactile ability can be an advantage in some spots. Cheers Simone 😊
@@DirtFishMish yeah i know but safety first! kiss kiss
Half a car engine bearing
The mystery brass looks like a part for joinning tubs. Suscribed to your channel, Regrads from Argentina. (Some of my channel videos have CC)

Привет! Ты необыкновенная!
Thank you!! :)
What do you get when dinosaurs crash their cars? Tyrannosaurus wrecks!
😂😂😂🦖
thanks for nice video. I also got some detecting videos in UK on my channel.
DINOSAUR JOKE:
Why can’t you hear a pterodactyl using the toilet?
Because the ‘P’ is silent 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Do you know why you can't hear a Pterodactyl go to the bathroom; because the "P" is silent! 😁
