Another great tutorial! Thank you! I have been watching your videos since the beginning of October of this year and started my KDP journey creating my first book and publishing it October 24th. Currently I have published a total of five books, focusing on quality not quantity, and have grossed $1279 as of this morning, with one book in particular making over $1000 of it and current BSR ~11K!! I am sooo tickled with my success so far in such a short time and I owe it tour your shared knowledge (and my hours of work lol). I rarely post a comment but I just wanted you to know you have made such an impact on me and my family's life! I plan on supplementing my income with this journey and I love the ability to be both creative and analytical.
Wow, that's fantastic news and a great result! It makes my day when I hear stories like yours, so thank you for sharing. Quality over quantity is definitely the way to go. Well done and hope to hear updates on your on-going success. 🙂👍
Are there any free programs to do this for those of us getting started who have already spent a lot signing up for all the different software just to get our Amazon business going?
Great video. One question - When we use the photo from creative fabrica did you make a change on the original photo so that we do not run into any issues with kdp for duplicate content?
No, I don't. The issue is not usually with individual pages but the the entire interior being the same as another book. And also, the whole page is unlikely to be identical anyway because the image with the items removed is unlikely to be the same.
Hi Paul, I'm trying to learn affinity photo to erase elements with the Impainting Brush tool. It seems that you have to have something previously configured but I can't understand how it is and I can't get it to work. Something with pixel layer and current... below...:( I can't figure out how it is... Thanks for your videos, I am applying them step by step!
When you select the tool you'll see a menu near the top of the window that says width, opacity, flow etc. If you carry on along you will see a dropdown box that says current layer. Hit that and select 'current layer & below'.
Thank you so much for making this video. I'm curious about the cost of creating a color book vs making it b&w. I know color sells at a higher price, but how high do I have to price it to make the same profit margin as b&w?
It depends on the size and number of pages. You would have to look at the fees and then add on how much you would make as a B&W version. It's usually around the $2 profit mark for most low content books.
One more question for you Paul. How many elements should we plan to remove for an adult book? I am trying to figure this out when searching for possible images to use in my book.
Hi, so you couldn't use Midjourney or any other AI design sites to create those spot the difference images for you? I tried Midjourney but probably not right?
Hello paul marles, It has been about a month since i published my books on amazon kdp But not a single books has been sold yet 😢. Is there anything to do with it?. 🙏🇱🇰
Yes, publish more and spend longer. This is a creative business that requires practice and learning all the skills to create books that customers want to buy. It would be like publishing one TH-cam video and wondering why you haven't yet got subscribers and making any money. Give yourself a 2 year time frame, not 1 month.
Hi Paul ! Do we need to select standard or premium color option for these type of books? We need to create minimum 72 pages. I assume we don't have issues with copyright or trademark ( sorry didn't check this yet). Do you have any niche research about the spot the difference books to buy on Gumroad?
You do have to consider copyright so just make sure the image you're using is copyright free or use something like creative Fabrica where you'll have to read their license but they give you permission to use them. And he does have a thing in his gum Road shop on the keyword research. I think he did art masterpieces or something like that. look in the video he did right before this one for the link and it's in the description - a link to his gum Road research download
@@BritishRiver thank you. I was wonfering if ths word 'spot the difference' is trademarked. It not really clear if we can use it when I am looking on uspto
Have you seen my previous video I did on this niche? May help answer your questions. I would select standard. And yes, you definitiely have to check for copyright prior to using images.
Does it make any difference if I upload epub or .kpf file ? Because it shows [Print Replica]when I upload book in kpf file. So which one should I prefer for uploading in amazon only ?
Hi Paul...I recently came across a KDP creator who's had their account deleted due to violating the T&Cs. Turns out it seems to be centered on notebooks with only lined pages i.e. no original content included. Have you heard of such a thing? I've unpublished mine even though the covers were my original artwork. Many thanks
@@paulmarles Thanks Paul, I hadn't either, especially as there's a line on KDP that states '...Low-content books have minimal or no content on the interior pages...' must be more to this?

How much more does it cost to publish color? Love the tutorial , I am lost without your guidance.
It will tell you on the KDP dashboard when you choose that option. It will depend on the number of pages etc. It is quite a bit more though.
Thanks Paul! On KDP for this, do we tic Low Content or does KDP give us an ISBN for this type of book?
For this type of book every page is different, so you don't tick the low content book box.
If you male more video how tò modificate the image pictures, coloring books by fotoshop or different programs Will be super. Thanks
Thank you for all your help. Can you recommend any good tutorials on Inkscape or Gimp?
I don't know any specific ones. Just search on TH-cam. There will be many to choose from.
One more question for you Paul. How many elements should we plan to remove for an adult book? I am trying to figure this out when searching for possible images to use in my book.
10 seems a reasonable number.
Thank you so much 🥰

Nice video but can you show us how to use canvas software to create this because I love using canvas most of the time
I don't think its possible to do that in Canva
As I say at the beginning of the video, you can't do this in Canva, unfortunately.
Very nice option 🙂
Thank you.
Amazing, thank you.

That more refers to public domain written work.

You can't. You can only upload one at a time. KDP doesn't have bult upload features.
