- Picked up a collection yesterday from an old client of mine. He has had this stored in a closet for the last 40+ years and was unsure what all he had. So many great sets of cards from 1975 up to 1986 as well as vintage cards from the 1950s and 60s and also some Photographs and signed items from the 1930s. This one has it all. We will be sending quite a bit of it off for grading as well as authentication and will show everyone as we receive items back and also as we sell through this collection. Would love any insight, if you have knowledge of any of the rare items and thanks for watching.

Those are 1975 Topps not 74
Came to say that. He kept calling them '74's.
Started questioning myself😂
Yep came to say that too
Thanks for not noticing Eddie
I just got my Bird rebounding leader, that I pulled from a pack back in my youth, graded by SGC and it came back with an '8". Send it!!!
Very nice. lots of beautiful cards. Love the stamps. Enjoy your Sunday!
Awesome find! Congratulations 🎉🎉
You should definitely send those to me. That would be the smartest thing you could do.
The good old days where collecting sets was actually a thing.
Great find!! ❤️
Awesome finds
Like those Coca Cola team cards and 1982 Drake’s! I gained 15 pounds as kid in 1982 from eating Devil Dogs trying to build the set.
That’s freaking hilarious. Crazy what we had to do to build a set back in the day!
Did you happen to get one of the old R311 cards from my eBay store today? I saw someone named Jay picked one up. Thanks for the Sub!
@@superflycollectibles Afraid not. Glad I happened upon your channel.
The Wheaties Dimaggio and Hubbel are really cool..😍 Nice collection with great hof and star cards..😮 Good luck with grading..👍🔥❤👊
Great Attic find, those cards look Great and Clean those complete sheets are Beautiful, GL with getting them Graded, good for you Sir.
Yes, we are excited to get them graded as well. I’m sending the first 30 off today and I’m trying to figure out the process for sending pictures into PSA. It’s not as easy as doing just baseball cards.
Nice find 🔥🔥🔥
Nice find!
Wow ! Nice
heck of a find! Good job filming! Btw
Great finds! Well done with the layout and explanations. Do let us know how the grading and sales go!
Luckily, I didn’t have to pay, I’m consigning it for him. I get to split with him whatever we sell it for.
Ruth was released and was with Boston Braves in 37, I'd like to have one of the 1975 Topps sets, Very nice find, Congrats
Fun!
I was hoping you’d see this, I love your attic find Friday videos!!! This one is not anything near the stuff you dig up though!
Ruth was released after the 34 season. He signed with the Boston braves in 1935
And yes sets are 75 not 74
1984 fleer sticker set has an album as well. No there isn't a Mattingly. However you do have Puckett, Clemens
nice find. But, you made some miistakes. Those are from Wheaties boxes. Also, the Chicago Cubs are the national league photo. Great stuff tho
@5:45 All the big names- Joe Dimaggio, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Gomez, and yes... JOE VANCE. You're killing me, Smalls.
The money is not in any of those cards or uncuts unfortunately. It’s in those pics and stamps. Way cool collection but I’d be willing to bet it sat because it never reached what the owner thought it would.
To add, I’d resin the uncuts on a bathroom wall. That looks to be just enough to cover a small bathroom.
In the 1986 Fleer Set find the Mickey Hatcher card #396. He has a huge glove on his hand. That card in in a PSA 8 goes for $40-50, and of course 9s and 10s,go for way more but are very tough to get.
Thanks, I definitely never would have known to look for that.
Always so fun to find a time capsule like that. So much to love here. Looking forward to the grading reveal
Babe Ruth cannot be found on a 1937 Yankees photo. His last few games he played in the majors were for the 1935 Boston Braves. He joined the team with the understanding he would soon be manager (perhaps the next season). It became evident to Babe that the Braves management had no intentions of honoring the agreement he felt they had. Babe wasn't happy to say the least and quit the Braves abruptly.
Very cool. Not that I expect you would divulge - I'll ask anyway. About how much did this cost? Thanks for sharing.
I want to buy few of these home card collection (been in closet too long). How would you go about it if you were just starting out?
Black and white are conlan sets and yes those are 75 topps
I wouldn't have those rolls standing up of uncut sheets ruin the cards on the bottom.
Not 74 , that is 75 topps
Nice collection, Bird had 6 cards that year. Since sending other stuff to get graded I would send that one in also
If possible when get cards back, do video would like to see how they got rated
Hello. I am new to your Channel 🤝-Red
Welcome! Thanks for watching.
@@superflycollectibles You're welcome!
@superflycollectibles do you want to sell any of the sixties cards?
@@thomasoliver354 yes, everything from this collection is available on my eBay store. With the exception of the cards I’ve sent in for grading, which most should be back here by the end of next week. I believe I’ll have one order of graded cards coming in on Friday from SGC. My eBay store is Superfly Collectibles SC.
I would be interested in the R312 Honus Wagner and possibly others. Could you tell us where you will be selling these? Thank you.
I already have most of it on my eBay store, it’s Superfly collectibles SC. The Honus Wagner I’m sending to PSA to get graded as well as a few of the other are 311 and our 312 cards.
Any Zack Hample cards?
Don't bother sending in the Post cereal stuff. They will just come back as Authentic. You need the borders to show for them to grade it.
Thanks so much, that’s great information. Unfortunately I already sent two in but both of those already had the border still showing so I got lucky.
The Chicago White Sox are in the American League
Where you find those?
Not trying to discourage you, but dont get your hopes up, They call the 80s junk wax era, millions upon millions printed, The Yaz rookie and the 75 Topps cards, but the other stuff os wasting money on getting them Graded, Will lose money, Those 82 through 86 sets aren't worth much, it sucks but that's how it is, The common cards from Post aren't worth much, I have Mantles, cant get more than a 100 for him, The Yaz rookie is the best card you got there, unless you can get the 75 Topps Brett rookie in great shape, im sure by now you know that those first 2 sets are 1975, not 74
If photo is the original first print, it will have the photo stamp on back. Do u plan on selling the honus wagner postcard sized cards?
Yes, I already have most of them R311/312 cards listed on our eBay store (superfly collectibles sc) but the Wagner I’m sending to PSA this week along with a few other things.
FRAME those uncut sheets, make a VERY awesome backdrop for your videos, even just the openings of the vids, really fun stuff, definitely grade Larry Legend.
OK....now that's out of the way...on those old Bowman cards, with the TV screen fronts ...did you happen to hit DON LIDDLE?? He used to live 3 doors down from me before I moved to MD...dad lived by him until Don passed away. I'm asking, because he's the man that threw the pitch for THE CATCH by Willie Mays. I've actually WORN that glove. Don had several game used and worn Mays items. The glove is on loan to Cooperstown via his son now if I remember correctly. Don even sponsored little league in Mt Carmel IL,where we lived. We have a building with a mural of one of his few other cards on market street and a little league ball field also named for him. I used to HAVE a few signed copies of the Bowman card I'm asking about, but, I was a kid and things get lost to the ravages of time. Ive been looking for one for a long time, and really don't care to purchase Anything from eBay...just no story to go with how I EVENTUALLY replaced the baseball card of a really fun guy I got lucky enough to grow up by. If you did happen upon one.. I'd be very interested in having a conversation about obtaining it from you.
Very nice haul either way, it's always cool to see the oddball stuff in complete form and AMAZING condition, congratulations on a successful grab!!
Are you going to do any more Bob Ross openings?
No, probably not. They have gotten so incredibly expensive. A hobby box is going from almost $500 now. Hoping Topps will come out with some more cool stuff like that soon.
Throughout the video I kept thinking "This is a fortune! How much did you pay?" Then at the very end it turns out you didn't buy it, you're selling it for the owner. But so what? It's still the same miraculous near-pristine collection. I can't wait to see the best stuff graded. As for the rolls of uncut sheets, I have no idea. I assume a dealer will buy them and flatten them out in some kind of holder or frame? Are they too big for that?
Thank God I didn’t have to pay. I would much rather consign because I would have to shell out quite a bit of money. We found out that the stamps are the most most valuable thing in the collection so far. Some of the pictures are worth hundreds and hundreds of dollars though. As far as those uncut sheets, I was going to try to find a poster holder big enough but surprisingly they aren’t super valuable. Maybe a couple hundred dollars for the better ones.
Still, I'd think a dealer would hang them in his shop, and a collector would pay a couple hundred to hang it on his wall in his collectibles room. You can't cut out the best cards, they'd be ungradeable. PSA would call them altered or trimmed.@@superflycollectibles
It's 1975 Topps cards in the binder not 1974 great find though
Grade those 75 topps George Brett and Robin Yount rookie cards if in good condition worth a lot !
It funny he thought that mays was a 58. 1960 buddy.
the big question, what did you pay?
What did you give for this collection?
I’m consigning it. We have an online store that we are selling it off for the gentleman that had it stored away for the last 40 years. Thanks for watching!
1975
You want to sell the 84 donruss factory set? Please let me know thanks
Thanks for the offer, but the set was sold very very quickly after making this video. I got lucky and the Don Mattingly graded a PSA 9.
60 Topps Mays, not a 58
Your going to be very disappointed... I sent over 1000 1980s cards to PSA last year. 2 10s, a few 9s and 8s, mostly 7s and lower. Good luck.
Yeah, I’ve always been disappointed anytime I send in stuff from the 1980s. We disqualified about 80% of what we were considering sending already. The only stuff I’m sending to PSA will be the photographs, the cards are actually going to SGC. I think the Older cards look better in the black tuxedo and also they’re a little more forgiving on the 1980s stuff.
Same here out of about 50 cards only got back 4 10 and a ton of 6 7 and 8 they are tough on them
@@weaversteelers1670 we shall see, I sent in an order with about 40 cards for the first batch and then I’ve got another 40 that I’m going to send later this week. Hopefully SGC will be more forgiving. The stuff I sent in is still worth grading even in a eight or nine but Ten will make it a whole lot better. Hoping to get one of the Don Mattingly‘s back in a 10 or one of the Cal Ripken Junior rookies back in a 10.
How much is it a card to grade SGC? Wondering the local card shop charge’s 22$ a card
@@chazwickjeffriesvonbronswi9922 that’s crazy, I cost per card is only $15. It usually cost me about $2 per card for shipping round trip. I guess your local card shop is making five dollars per card to take care of it for you.
That's 75 Topps not 74...
Those are not 1974 Topps they are 1975
Thanks, I caught that after I made the video and can’t go back now….
A very exciting find, some neat stuff there.
1975 not 1974
Not the WhiteSox...🙄
Not trying to spoil the party but I wouldn't pay 80 dollars for the lot. Really nothing of value here..
The 75 sets are worth quite a bit.
1975
