Suikoden 1 definitely will be the one who gets mire benefits from this remaster 😂. I am so happy to finally get a remaster of these games. Suikoden 2 is my childhood.
Definitely. Suikoden 1 is going to see the most benefits from this remaster. The game is archaic in so many design choices, and this will hopefully bring it closer in line with Suikoden 2.

If I'm remembering correctly, they confirmed save file transfer will be in the game during their TGS presentation. The remaster is based on the PSP and that feature was in the PSP version, so it'll be present in the remaster.
is it just me or did Konami add a running frames on Tir? I don't remember seeing those running frames in the original PS1 release. If so then it honestly looks great here, I just hope it's on by default without having to acquire a rune. If I remember correctly I had to like equip a Holy Rune and have Stallion on the party just to be able to "walk faster" inside towns, rooms, and the world map.
For the most part it looks great, but the wall tiles Suikoden I have an uneven brightness to it that makes the repetition lack seamlessness and the bridge itself needs a tad bit more detail.
Not trying to sound like a hater but I don't see how anyone can be exited for this, it's literally the same two games with SLIGHTLY better graphics, nothing even that significant to make me want to buy a remaster. I own and have beaten both over 15 times already. I honestly want to hear from you guys as to what makes this so exciting for you. What they needed to do is REBOOT the games in the same 2D style with different hero, characters, towns and map, and also allowing surprise cameos from the first two games. I WOULD LOSE MY FREAKING MIND. When they switched to 3D for the rest of the series it was just insanely corny to me. I hated the 3D style so much that after playing the third one for barely an hour, i stopped playing altogether and never finished the series. They should have kept the game in the 2D format for the entire franchise. That would have made the game even more popular

@@SeventhheavenDK The demo showcased a couple of years ago when the game was first announced had 3 difficulty options to chose from, maybe that's something they simply didn't showcase officially and will be playable when the game will be available!
Was there any news about bugfixes? both games had plenty of them (nothing major), the biggest one would be pushing the gate on suikoden 2.. although that part was fun imo
@@pennvessaren2Been a long time since my full completionist run but I believe it was some sort of memory location issue where if you handed in a specific recipe it would be marked as complete and no longer drop making it impossible to get every recipe.

Im still waiting on how it releases performance wise to be honest. It looks good so far. After seeing several games i got overly giddy about to fall victim to performance and game breaking bugs im staying cautiously optimistic on this and the other game im waiting for.
Honestly remasters are too much work for the companys it seems, They could just come out with the same game just ported and it would still sell, and they wouldnt have to charge so much to break even. But honestly they put in hours if not weeks worth of work thinking they are improving it, but new players wont even notice and old players wont even put care to notice. So really is it worth it.
Agreed. The bridge leading to the castle does look plastic. The castle itself looks great I will say and Gregminster for the most part looks really good. Suikoden II got a really impressive upgrade!

The running frames are new! And what a welcome addition running is. The fast walking animation looked silly.

There'll very likely be a volume slider, but I doubt we'll be able to control individual aspects of the sfx.

This still coming out for Xbox one right cos there doesn't seem to be any listings for the Physical version.
Physical copies will only be available for Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X. Other platforms are digital only.

The recipe bug is fixed. Matilda Gate glitch is fixed. Beyond those, they haven't really said anything specific except that they fixed bugs.
