Thank ya ! Yea it touched the exhaust a couple times . The best option is always use low if it’s really deep and you don’t have a choice , low keeps rpm’s higher blowing more air through the CVT exhaust while also not having to move the machine through the water faster . Obviously to deep is just to deep if you get to that point lol. But I’ve always had good luck doing that especially with my Brute Forces , had water up on edge of seat on one of them stock.
Hmm . The deepest i got there was touching the exhaust . The CVT exhaust at least goes upward in the back around the taillight level , where as the sportsman 1000 I had turned down . You absolutely could not back up into any sort of deeper water without getting the belt wet . It was very frustrating. My Brutes were the best stock machines I owned for deep water . I like the KingQuad just fine for it though, as I won’t be seeking out deep water anyway lol .
@@joekearneyhow is the KQ overall in water stock? Both Grizzly 700’s I’ve had/have (2011 and now 2020) seem like they can go as deep as you want them and they don’t have any issues. And I’ve went full submersion as times. But my 2018 Sportsman 850 SP was absolutely garbage in even adequate sized water I guess bc of what you mentioned about your Sportsman. How does the KQ compare to these? Does it slip? It’s always been one of my hesitations about buying one
@@jonsatvoutdoorchannel6686 Well, that was the deepest i ever had it before I trade it in unfortunately. It had zero issue up to it touching the exhaust. Most machines using low range with high rpm to keep air rushing out the cvt exhaust will do good . I had water up on the seat stock on my brutes . I can’t comment further than exhaust level on the KQ though , I think you’d be happy with it though . I had a grizzly 700, the KQ IMO was built slightly better . Grizzly handles slightly better with better EPS.
Not very many , we’re in the X3 a lot when riding national forest areas . It’s got about 250-280 miles on it right now. Hoping to add rims and tires and a bumper soon. Got one mod left for the X3 first .
Only about 250-300 Edward . Summertime is such a busy time with the kiddos . The last ride was in the X3 . I want to take the KQ back to the mountains again as it’s a blast ripping the hills and humps catching air !
@@edwardabrahamiii3742 oh yea I know ! I stay busy working on their atvs a lot too lol. They have very hard lives lol I’m gonna find time sometime soon to put some more miles on it that’s for sure . Get you one you’ll enjoy it . Can’t go wrong with it or the grizzly. If I re enter the big power game again it’ll be a can am outlander 1000R.
That was deep😂. Listen to the kiddo having fun! Thats what its all about.
@@MrSrtman18 Absolutely bud! Couldn’t agree more .
I’ve always loved the speedometer they have
Awesome video. I've never taken King Quad in that deep of water but its nice to know how deep you can go and not get the belt wet
