I say fair play to Derby County, the players, the fans and Wayne Rooney. I for one and for what it is worth, hope they survive in the Championship and I suppose more importantly as one of the great midlands football clubs. I do also have to say Come On You Reds in the FA cup tie versus Huddersfield Tonight.
The points deduction has completely ruined them this season but without it they would be 17th and nearly mathematically safe already. The style of play from when I watched them face my team was definitely modern and progressive, very attractive stuff. Say what you want about the man in his persona life, but Rooney deserves so much recognition for his work at Derby. He has helped colleagues financially out of his own pocket to ensure people get paid, he has remained in place when he could have left for another job, and he has continued to look to better himself by continuing his licence... very impressed. The relegation going on his CV doesn't tell the full story.
@@andrewoliver8930 sure, but most manager would left a club that struggling financially, he got the opportunity to leave Derby and join Everton but he rejected the offer because he wants to respect Derby fans just show how dedicated he is to the fans, also they forced to use most of their academy player because they can't sign a player
To be fair to Rooney, I think he is doing a great job in difficult circumstances. I expected less, more of the drinking culture, old slappers and parlours, but we got a poor team working together on not even a shoestring budget, more G-string tied around the club's bollocks. And his tactics, coaching, management style is producing results though the gap to surviving in the Championship is still a big one. Hope he and Derby pull off the great escape

You know what I mean. How can a football fan possibly not know that Wayne Rooney has been Derby County manager since January 2021
What a man. What a club.

looks like he's enjoying life, good to see
No matter what happens the lad has done good by us.
Top bloke seems unusually loyal for a manager these days 👍
It helps being the highest paid manager in the Championship.
@@andrewoliver8930 I agree but I’m sure he could have got more at Everton plus it’s dire at Derby. I think so anyway
@@SuperOlivegrove Even speaking as a Forest fan he's come across as a decent fella.

What a player this man was! Kids these days just don't get it.
So true
He literally carried Manchester United For 10 seasons straight
Spent the cash but didn't get promoted with Lampard.
The debt had to be paid and here we are at that point.
