I just wanted to say thanks for your instructions! I had took my two sons Onn tablets to a guy to repair and he quoted me $144 to fix one! I said let me think about it! I went home got on EBay and ordered two replacement screens they arrived yesterday. I watched your video and replaced them both in about 30 minutes! My sons were playing them tonight for hours! Thanks again! Just an update, it cost me $30 to switch out the screens myself! $$$🙂
Thank you so much for your help. My wife sat on my handicapped daughter's tablet and this video saved us quite a bit of money. Living on a fixed income we really have to budget. Thanks again!
I just broke my daughters 10.1 Onn screen yesterday and ordered a new replacement online. I hope I can fix hers just as smooth as you did on this one. Wish me Luck!!!!
@@nicesquad9912 I was able to do it myself and I must say that the hardest part was putting in the gold "ribbon" at the end before closing it up. It took me the longest time ever, but these directions/instructions are so helpful. I feel like I can fix anything now.
@@Lenzwalters How did you get the gold ribbon like thing in the back of the tablet? It was like the second or third step before completion. You made it look so easy.
Thanks @ Lenz Walters this video helped me getting my friends nephew tablet back up and running. The hardest part was waiting three weeks for the digitizer to arrive from China.
Thanks for making this video I am going to try to replace my daughter's screen I paid a company $60 to replace it and they did a crappy job part of it wasn't even glued down and he applied to much pressure on the edges of the screen to where it was warped
What’s the black screen called? My son cracked the screen on his tablet but I did this and it seems the black screen in broken also can that screen be fixed?
Care to elaborate please??? The outer screen on mine is cracked and has been for a while so I haven't been using it but I took it apart today and discovered that there was an outer layer plastic cover of sorts that was cracked and not the under layer screen. So I cleaned up the parts under the plastic and the plastic itself and put it back together with the hopes it will now work and register the touch input. I have it charging at the moment and haven't tried it yet but if your saying what I think you are, I can remove that plastic part and use the tablet as it is just without that outer plastic layer. The screen underneath the plastic is perfectly fine though and so is the digitizer so far as I can tell.
On the one I have the screen doesn't display the battery after it's charged. The screen shows black with rainbow circles like a puddle of water. Do you have any suggestions while it's token apart
I wish he would have told us what he was doing as he was doing it. What was that tool he was using? And was it just around the edge or was it just anywhere on the screen?
Hi my tablet wont charge and i dont know why i think its the battery but im not sure i was wondering if you had a devise that did the same and if you have any tips for me (its a onn 10.1 inch)
I have a version a little older than this one but is still essentially the same thing. Nearly 5 mins just to heat the glass to remove it! And that's what you showed us! Let the pros do it or buy a new unit! If people spend hundreds on phones, they can afford under $100 for a new tablet!
And I can fix the tablet for 15 bucks this way because a pro would be too much for an $80 tablet.... the dude is just showing people how to do it no need to be negative.
If that is really what you think then why are you even on here? Nothing wrong with trying to learn something new for very little money. Some people prefer not to be reliant of other people as much as possible. I learned a lot of Auto repairs but getting down and dirty and tackle it. Sure every once in awhile i screw up. But i still learn something. I learn what not to do and that i have to do it a different way next time😄

yes you should be able to just take your time, heat the edge of the frame and not the middle and you should be good.

Wow easy fix and I threw one away it was brand new to !! Good thing I still have another one
What did you connect in the back dose rhat have to be disconnected to do this
At which time?
To be honest would appreciate a link to the onn digitizer you bought
The screen wont swipe or do anything.
I out the strip in right. Whybwont it work?
I wish he would have told us what he was doing as he was doing it. What was that tool he was using? And was it just around the edge or was it just anywhere on the screen?
edge. use plastic tool, flat metal to help raise it up etc
Do you need to disconnect battery before disconnecting digitizer or it’s cool?
if your bat3 is fully disconnect. its best to disconnect battery first
thanks for the video but would've been nice if you could talked and explained what you were doing.
Noted
How long will this take with a blow dryer? What’s the name of that tool?!

The pros? Lmfao You’re just mad because you can’t over charge people for something they can do themselves with almost no tools.
You dont have 5 minutes to fix something? Busy man must be important guy
