Could you kindly clarify whether it is recommended to submit the medical form within three days after fee payment or three days before the commencement of the course? Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on the preferred method of submission, whether through email or physical copy. Since in the site, it's written "Students should upload their medical forms within three days, duly signed by an MBBS Doctor with a rubber seal."
Hi So, you would need to submit a medical form filled out with your application. I did it with my application, you could do it within 3 days of the application as mentioned. Secondly, you would need to carry along with you the latest medical form at the time of your course. It should be not more than 2 months old I think. Eg. If you’re applying now for the August batch, you would need one now, and a fresh one ( physical original form) in August. And I did everything online, uploaded all on the website. I hope I was able to answer your question.
Thanks . ☺️ You will only have mobile network in Dirang and till Jung. So basically first week and the last few days of the course. No WiFi is not available.
I think now the process for applying in BMC a little changed ,can please help me out. And I am going to do the BMC in the month of March 2025 so is it okay to do my medical certificate now ? Or what else I can do . Cause if I wait for jan maybe it's too late to apply.
Hello So, most of us had to get the medical certificate twice, one while applying and another one when going for the course, as they require the latest one. I’m not very sure if the process has changed. You could call the institute and find out, and please update it here as well so it would help others 😊. Thanks
What is line permit ? And what will be the Institute reporting time, for example if course starts on 1st August and ends on 28th August when should we reach NIMAS, and on last day of course we will be leave institute or next day?
1. To enter Arunachal Pradesh, you would require an inner line permit. Please watch my Q&A part 2 video for more details on how to apply. 2. You must reach one day/ evening before . Say, if your course starts on 1st, reach by 31st . 3. You can leave on the last day of the course, but at evening or night , and also next morning. Hope it helps, also, proper instructions are given in the joining instruction , which you’ll get like 60- 45 days before your course starts. So, apply and wait for the joining instruction.
Hi Simi. Thanks for so informative video. Many students are sure benefitted. Two queries: 1. How much weight we need to carry for 8kms endurance Run test? And whats deadline time limit to complete that run? 2. Which day this test is conducted?
Hi, I’m glad you found the video informative. To answer the questions:- 1. You will be carrying your rucksack, the same one with the same weight that you’re carrying after starting from Dirang. The deadline time during our course was a little less than 2 hours, but everyone finished it way before the deadline, so the cutoffs time might differ from batch to batch.. but it’s honestly not difficult. The terrain is downhill and it’s the road you’re walking on. 2. During our batch it was conducted on the return , between New Melling and Jung. Also, please note it was not endurance run, but endurance trek. They no longer make us run. It has been modified. So, it’s just walking fast with the same load. Good luck 👍
Mam do tin doubt hai 1 kya medical insurance aur ILP , BMC ke liye apply karne se pahle banvana hoga ya apply karne ke baad me banva sakte hai 2 medical form jo apply karte samay banvaya kaam kar jayega 3 as a career mountaineering me kya scope hai Plz tell me.
1 . ILP you can apply a few days before heading towards Nimas 2. Medical insurance also, you need to show at the campus, so just make sure you have it before you reach Nimas. Dono hi pehle nahi karne se bhi chalega.. 3. Career scope hai, you can apply as trek leader in various adventure companies after doing BMC and AMC .
Please tell what are exercises they make you do in PT and core strengthening. Although I do a lot of major treks and play tennis and swim regularly and I am very fit, I tend to get sprain in my knees and shoulders with pushups and situps. Which is why I ask, please tell.
Hi, we were doing all sorts of core strengthening exercises and some which I was doing for the first time, sorry, I’m not sure of their names, and also it a year back, so I don’t remember all. But I can tell you this much that we had to do many push ups and their variations to increase our strength for climbing, also personally for me , more than the PT, carrying the heavy bag of around 20kg was a challenge initially, but then we got used to it. I would suggest, check with a doctor for the reason of the sprain and focus on muscle strengthening to improve the muscles around the joints, before going for long endurance treks or run. I too used to get pain on my knee sometimes after long runs or treks, but then I started focusing on strengthening the leg muscles, and trust me it helped. Hope I was to help you out with your doubt. Let me know if you want to know anything else as well
@@wayfarersimi Thank you Simi. I actually am able to carry as much as 30-40 Kgs on my back. The sprain in my knee and shoulder is from an old sports injury which I am working to correct, and its a work-in-advanced-progress, but just to be sure, if I end being in NIMAS, do they allow you to sit out certain exercises or are they like Army where you must do what they say?
@@wayfarersimi The sprain issue only shows up during sit-ups or pushups/pullups. And is this PT done everyday over the whole course or just the first few days?
@@kbumb to be very honest, they are strict about the PT , yes somewhat like the army way, and PT is everyday, except for when we were in Jeethang and Meerathang, and the day of our climbing tests. To give you an idea, probably 20 of 28 days, we had PT. The instructors are strict, but they also understand if you have any injury which has happened during the course. You can maybe call them up directly and ask them. You will needing to do rock climbing and also ice climbing using crampons and Ice axe, which requires pulling movement. Personally I would suggest you to think it through before applying. Good luck
I have heavy bleeding during the first 2 days of my periods and the pain is unbearable and I'm scared if I get my periods what should I do? and also do they give a day or two off due to situations like these?
Hey, Yes they are considerate about this. You can tell your rope instructor about this situation, and they do understand. Don’t push yourself too hard on the first two days, but just try to be present for the activities. I carried a small hot water bag and it helped. Good luck 👍
You would need to download the blank medical form, get it filled by a medical officer/ doctor, scan it and upload it on you application page along with your other forms/ documents.
