Modeling is no joke. You have to sell yourself everyday. You have to take it seriously enough to maintain your body, mind, and spirit. Also, get into a great agency that is in the top 10 and work hard.
U have to have thick skin...i wouldnt be able to do it..too much rejections and moving to another country alone. And having to keep yrslf super skinny.very painful
Italy sucks. I lived there for one year and it was the worst experience of my life people are so unfriendly. I didn’t went for work i literally moved there bc studies and had to move back to my country cause i develop depression. So i blame the country and the people there lol it feels so alone really.

Taylor Hall I actually had no idea Kendall was a privileged model .I saw her for some campaign and I was like WHO IS THIS GIRL SHE’S FREAKING GORGEOUS. After reading more into it,I seriously feel bad for Kendall.It’s not her fault for being in a rich family and want to be a model. Sure in some ways she has it easier..but it’s not fair to compare her to other models for something she was simply born into.. She has a mother who would do anything to make her comfortable..I’m pretty sure ANY mother would do that for their model daughters if they had the chance. It’s the brands after all who choose to book her for campaigns and shows. Blame them ,not her.She just does the job.

Frankly, I’m always amazed by the before and after photos of people who’ve made it, as well as by the makeup-free photos of the ones who have. It gives me so much respect for the people who discover/sign new talent. They see potential in people that I wouldn’t even notice unless I was looking for it. Makes you wonder how hot everyone would be if we all had the same lifestyle. I also think that it’s interesting to realize from watching these videos that being a ten doesn’t necessarily mean that people treat you with more respect. @Charles Darwin I don't think the proportions of a model is very uncommon. The measurements aren't rare at all. I'm sure a lot of people who aren't models have similar proportions too. Even some fashion models themselves don't have the ideal proportions.
not the high fashion industry, but for the commercial modeling industry you can be any size... look at aerie campaigns, or even the ASOS website. A bunch of different sized models lol

Is it normal to be bullied in US schools? I heard a million times that someone was going through that , mostly because of physical appearance. Is it so common that it became normal for people? 😞
No it’s not normal for everyone, I don’t know anyone who was deliberately bullied for their looks, where I live people respect each other a little more

I have a feeling that this is staged by Victoria’s Secret. I mean, her story was super detailed until she said “And then I booked VS” - end of story. Sorry but VS is dead.
I mean this sounds super positive and inspirational. But I think you should be more careful of what you are putting out there considering there are young impressionable girls following you. The reality for most the model industry is grim; constantly being told to lose "inches" even when you are already looking anorexic, sexual harassment and objectification, spending weeks of just going to castings and not much comes out of it - a mediocre salary at best. In 2012 a survey was conducted by the Model Alliance and it revealed that 70% of the 85 female US models were suffering from depression & anxiety and 2/3 got told to lose weight. Georgina Wilkin, Taylor Allard; luckily some are actually talking about the ugly truth. There are very few who are lucky to have made it to the top and maybe even avoided all of that, but that's not representative of the model industry as a whole.
Sarah A Yes, VOGUE actually has a video on TH-cam w/semi famous models outlining some of their horrifying experiences w/inappropriate photographers, etc😳I was SHOCKED! Vogue’s channel on TH-cam!😳I’m glad but they’ve supported that shit for YEARS! Feels very hypocritical!

I love this video because so many models I feel like don’t share all of this in depth! I’m modeling and working my way up (recently signed in NY) and I love to watch/hear models talk about their paths so I have a better understanding of the industry and what can happen. I love this video because so many models I feel like don’t share all of this in depth! I’m modeling and working my way up (recently signed in NY) and I love to watch/hear models talk about their paths so I have a better understanding of the industry and what can happen. Hey Devon, do you know whether it is a good age to sign with an agency for the first time at 21, or is that too old to become successful as a model (considering most start young)? I am 18 years old, and school is really important to me, and I want to go to Stanford but cannot do Stanford University and modeling at the same time.
