The ALF class locomotives are not only my favourite but also the last lifeline I have got with trains before it ends when they retire on the rails. Do you know where exactly ALF22 is? I haven’t physically seen it since April this year, is it still in Islington workshops being repainted?
@ Okay, I remember ALF24 doing a Tailem bend grain run in early October last year in the old GWA orange painting and then resumed running again approximately 2 months later after being repainted into modern Aurizon livery, do you know when ALF22 got sent into Islington Workshops for a repaint?
@@Rhys4AUFC No worries and just lastly do you know if Aurizon plans to repaint all 6 ALF’s? Or just locos between 22 and 24 that was left in the orange GWA scheme after One Rail handed things across in July 2022?
Briliant rail video, nice images with trains! Good work! Thumbs Up & Subscribe

Thanks 😃
Nice compilation Rhys! I always enjoy the grainy's at Lofty, especially when they have older power like these classics!
Thanks for posting.

Thanks
I wonder why they removed the number two end cab? Doesn't make sense, must have been a reason? 🤔
Definitely made no sense to remove the 2nd cab and place the horns behind the cow catcher
When they were rebuilt, AN the then current owners wanted a heavier unit so they concreted the No.2 end and turned them into a single ended unit.
During 1994/95. They also made slightly lighter and not heavier
Obviously you haven't heard QLD Clide locos.

It would’ve gone in this month, don’t have the exact date
