Or just banish it/remove it from game before triggering all the effects. (which granted would basically have a similar effect to what you just said, but it mechanically makes more sense.)

Morphing Jar was first released in Tournament Pack 2 (And TP2-E) as the Ultra, then again in Tournament Pack 4 downshifted from Ultra to Super. It's DB2 version (Downshifted again to Rare) didn't come out for quite some time after.

As others mentioned Dark Beginnings was a reprint set these jars predate that set by years. Cyber Jar particularly was a meta staple for years. My fondest memory however was Fiber Jar. I got 2-3 straight weeks as the only person there with it and people HATED it lol. (The ban list did not yet exist in the English tcg at the time so it was restricted to 1 at release).

I love Pot of the Forbidden. It meshes very well with the Prediction Princess Ritual since they're both Level 9, and the Ritual supports Flip Effects, which this is. With the new World Legacy card that Special Summons level 9 monsters as well, there's some serious deck potential.

I know that Aroma Jar is as much a jar monster as Fiber Jar is aesthetically, but it still fits the bill as it is a rock flip effect monster which has "pot" in the Japanese name like Dice Jar. Also its effect is kinda the opposite of what Dice Jar does, so there's even *some* synergy between them.
I kinda want Cyber Jar to return because out of ALL the Jar monsters, Cyber Jar is my favorite. It's the most fair card more so than Morphing Jar... then again I prefer Fiber Jar too but Cyber Jar is still cool.
Fair is kinda stretching it. It's still Black Hole + Draw 5 + Inferno Reckless Summon. Morphing Jar at least eats a normal summon, kills your tempo, and requires an empty hand in order to have the most made out of it. Cyber Jar doesn't have nearly the same drawbacks. Imagine Paleozoics with Cyber Jar. Set 5 Pass, whoops I just nuked your field and reset my hand.
i used to run a destruction deck with jars and needle worms on them, winning by taking all my enemy cards. pretty cool and made people rage a lot in tournaments.
Once years back my buddies and I were having a 4 way duel. Some1 placed a cyber jar on turn 1. Got destroyed, and a second cyber was pulled from effect. Got destroyed and a 3rd cyber was pulled. That 1 got destroyed and it pulled out a fiber jar. Needless to say the duel started anew. Lol

My favourite Jar/Pod card is Fiber, just slowly banish the opponent's deck one card at a time while resetting the rest of the field.

Once years back my buddies and I were having a 4 way duel. Some1 placed a cyber jar on turn 1. Got destroyed, and a second cyber was pulled from effect. Got destroyed and a 3rd cyber was pulled. That 1 got destroyed and it pulled out a fiber jar. Needless to say the duel started anew. Lol
Dice Jar is my favorite Jar card, with Aroma and Fiber Jars being my 2nd and 3rd
I used all the jar cards. Cyber and Fiber Jar were my favorite. They were banned then, but that didn’t stop me from playing it
Just going to say, the jars kind of remind me of the Dwarf in the Flask from FMA.
Morphing Jar #2 is over powered in dysentery deck that uses Skull Lair or Magical Explosion as it gives you a lot of ammo.
