I noticed the mistake lego made ngl, making optimus prime without a nose in the trailer, so this is a great way of fixing it, also i like the first one than the second one, just my opinion 😁

It's funny though that the sticker on Optimus Prime's legs, the instructions, tell you to place them upside down from the original drawings of the character (some instructions pictures show the original drawings, with the correct leg drawings).
The first one has a definite ultramagnus vibe (maybe because ultra Magnus was blocky as a toy in light blue tones) both are uniquely different but the second still retains the slender eyes that's a tad too small even with the neat nose bridge. I'd go with the blocky first one even though it's less accurate to the eyes Optimus has. The blockyness adds to blocky nature of Lego bricks too and reads better from a distance where as the 2nd gets lost like the original build when viewed from a far. BTW have you seen the Optimus trailer built by hachiroku24 on yt it's not bad opens fully like the toy
He had no nose bridge. That's what is missing. Transformers has had a few series that act like robots having noses is somehow unacceptably weird (Animated, Prime, Rescue Bots, RID15). I don't get it. How is it any weirder than them looking like metal humans in car-themed armor?

I say don't mess with what lego does unless it's absolutely awful and the whole set looks like what you drop in the toilet... bit that's mostly bc I don't jave a lot of pieces for mocs at my disposal

I have this set. I will mention, it does become incredibly loose over time. Mine has arms that cant be in any pose without flopping.

First one. The eye print piece is just downright awful.
I prefer using studs for eyes, and no nose. In G1 his nose was pretty innocuous so I excluded it.
