Thanks! I’m new at this and I’m having trouble transitioning to G.
UPDATE: I’ve been practicing every day and now I can finally transition to G!

@@zacharykimball6000 i have a tip, i just started practicing uke about 2 days ago, and im able to do transition to G, the tip is: just ultimately PRACTICE EVERY HOUR A DAY but it took me 4-5 hours each day like 2 hours at the morning and then the rest of it at the later moment(just manage it by urself) i did a practice on C to G chord, do the strums down 4 times each chord before transitioning, try DD UDUD after u feel like mastered it, and ALWAYS REMEMBER to rest ur fingers for 30 minutes, lol this comment is a year ago, but i hope it helps for anyone else scrolling through the comments!!

Are you kidding me? I just tried this going from C to Ab7 and I've finally got it! Thanks you so much for this video! I'll be practicing all my chord changes this way from now on! Game changer for sure!

Very interesting, Guido. I must admit that I've never thought of doing it this way, but I will from now on. Thanks!

I've noticed James Taylor (one of the best finger style guitarists) uses this technique too. Another benefit is that there is less physical stress on the fretting hand and fingers i.e. the time-force relationship is lower overall. So your fretting hand and fingers will not tire as quickly.

I love this! This idea really clicked for me, as I’ve had the same timing issues with leaving notes early and stalling for the full chord as a new player. Would love to see more videos, you have a really great teaching presence in the couple of videos that I’ve seen of yours. 👍

I may have already left a similar comment but I found this tremendously helpful. I have trouble forming an ordinary G chord. Making it progressively is a great benefit. Thank you very much for sharing this. Saved for future reference, Mike

Thank you, Guido! I can't say it any better than your previous commenter. Your lessons are clear, friendly, well-paced, and best of all, useful! You cover lots of topics that I hadn't realised I would like to know about. It makes playing the ukulele a lot more fun.

You mean it's not considered "cheating" to habitually strum half a beat of all open strings between chords? That's not something I'm used to seeing and hearing from respected ukulele players.

I love your instruction. Would you please do uke lessons in G tuning. D,G,B,E - Baritone. Not just GCEA.
It IS more beneficial overall. Uke-Guitar transitions.
    Not just uke, in GCEA.
    DGBE lessons help more.
