One of my favorite moments from “The Muppet Christmas Carol” was Kermit looking up at the shooting star during “One More Sleep Til Christmas”. It was in loving memory of Jim Henson, because it was a nod to a similar scene in “The Muppet Movie”.
To me, what makes Muppet Christmas Carol work is how it balanced out the tone of the original Dickens story with the Muppets' humor. It had a lot of funny scenes, but it also knew when to be serious, like when the Cratchits mourn Tiny Tim. Plus, there's Sir Michael Caine, who is already a fantastic actor, but really stood out in the movie. The way he took the role of Scrooge seriously and interacted with the Muppets as if they were fellow human actors on stage.
I want muppet pride and prejudice so bad. Miss Piggy as Lizzie, Brett as Mr. Darcy, kermit as bingley, fozzie as mr. bennett, animal as kitty or lydia, Link Hogthrob as Wickham, sam the eagle as lady catherine, uncle deadly as caroline bingley, janice as jane, gonzo as mr. collins, camilla as charlotte

Muppet Christmas Carol is one of my all-time favorite movies. I am so glad “When Love is Gone” is in the Disney+ version. That’s how it should be. I watched the full version on VHS growing up and now DVD because that song is essential for a complete story.

I’m disappointed Rizzo isn’t at the table. On that note, whoever’s doing the voice of robin is an improvement from whoever had the role last time but not by much.
Rizzo is going back to being a background character like he was in the original muppet show. I’m guessing they’re doing that until they find a new voice. The same thing happened to Scooter,Rowlf,Dr.Teeth and other characters who’s performers left or died or got fired.

While just how much awareness they have of the fourth wall has always been somewhat fluid, they generally consider themselves to be real, and aren’t really aware of the behind the scenes stuff.

Something I recently learned about the movie is that to achieve the effect for the Ghost of Christmas Past, they submerged the puppet in a tank filled with baby oil and recorded the footage. When the baby oil got too expensive to keep ordering, they simply just used water.
This gentleman doesn’t even sound like he’s doing an impression of Kermit. I’m sure he’s a very talented performer and muppeteer, but just Google Kermit voices and you’ll find a ton of people who can do the voice Justice
I love how the muppets have mugs for their "cocoa". And they had a table read? Also, what about "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" and Pepe's spectacular performance?

Kermit and Robin really do sound off to my ears, though different actors and all that. But I'm just trying to think of how people can sound different the older they get. I know Muppets are timeless but even they would have ageing issues. That's just what I am telling myself to make it easier to watch this.

Does anyone else keep getting distracted by the fact that Robin isn't as vibrant as he used to be? I mean, I've been watching The Muppet Show (again) lately, so I know he used to be a brighter shade of green, and I honestly can't imagine any good reason why they would have changed that.

It's an interview with Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo and Robin, so it really makes no sense for them to talk about the puppeteers who are behind the scenes. If it were an interview with Brian Henson, however, it'd make more sense for them to mention this is the first film made after Jim's passing. Indeed, I recall seeing an interview with him on this film where he mentioned that very thing.
The "Marley and Marley" sounds like he picked it up from their song. Looked like even Gonzo questioning that hearing on that pronunciation too. One of those Marley's sounded like "Morley". Statler and Waldorf played "Jacob and Robert Marley" to be technical.

Dave Goelz (Gonzo) is the only performer here that was really in The Muppet Christmas Carol.
He is also the longest preforming muppet performer in general if I recall correctly

My favorite moment was when Rizzo kissed Gonzo’s nose. It was so random and uncalled for, but it was absolutely perfect for the scene.

I NEVER EVER liked Whitmire's impersonation of Kermit. He always sounded too high pitched to me.
