      Hi, As per website states Titlis Rotair is open daily, except when the weather is bad and during the maintenance period (4 November - 15 November 2024). I’m planning to visit between 17-23rd December, can you please confirm, Cable cars will be open in these days? Like Titlis n Grindelwald? Thanx

    YES....DEFINITELY WORTH IT. On one trip we went on a dog sled tour, were invited (they were probanly joking) us to ski, and loved the snowy ice caves. Weather was always nice at the top, but I'd go even if the valley cams showed fog.

      Oh my goodness, dog sledding sounds incredible!! And you're absolutely right, always check the webcams because sometimes the Jungfraujoch is above the clouds!

    Brilliant thanks, can I pick the train up that's coming from Interlaken at Grindelwald Station to get to the eiger express cable car Terminal? Also on the way back from Jungfraujoch we would like to go to Lauterbrunnen so working back on your directions am I to believe we can get a train there from the station at Eigergletscher. Thanks, Hope this makes sense

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there! From the village of Grindelwald, you have to take the train that's going back in the direction of Interlaken Ost, but then you'd exit at the first stop (Grindelwald Terminal).
      From Jungfraujoch, there's a train down to Kleine Scheidegg, then another from there to Lauterbrunnen (passing through Wengen). Hope that helps!

    • @AplinsintheAlps

      Unfortunately, no. You'll get (at best) about a 25% reduction. It's definitely worth considering one of the regional passes if you'll spend a few days here. Be sure to check out our ultimate guide to choosing a Swiss train pass (updated for 2023!): th-cam.com/video/fzuP0hMUjFk/w-d-xo.html

    Can you please suggest whether it's okay to buy tickets to the pick when we reach Switzerland or if we have to book beforehand?

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We never buy the tickets in advance. If you plan to travel during peak travel season, you might want to buy a seat reservation a day or two in advance. But usually, during a weekday and early in the morning allows you to travel with less tourists.

    Hi, small Tipp if you want to see some traditional woodcarving. In Brienz is the school for woodcarving. There are around 30 students there and they learn everything form the wood, to the tools, to painting stuff… it’s really interesting to see, and Brienz itself is just a really beautiful village:)

    Is it possible for me go to First cliff walk and first flyer then go to Jungfrau (top of Europe )in same day?

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's definitely possible, but we usually recommend separating these into two separate days to fully enjoy each experience. But if you really need to do both on the same day, we recommend going to Jungfraujoch early in the morning and then Grindelwald First after that.

    hello! i like your contents a lot!! my question is, i have an interrail pass and that covers the train route; lauterbrunnen-kleine sheidegg-eigergletscher-jungfraujoch. when i book this ticket, will i be able to visit all of this places as well?

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Be sure to make note that the Interrail pass only gives you a discount on the route that you mentioned, so you'll need to buy a ticket and ask for the appropriate discount. But once you have your ticket, you can stop and explore anywhere along the way, as long as you do so within the same day!!

    Great content guys! Question: I'm coming in August and the day I'll be able to go is either a Fri, Sat, or Sun. I'm thinking this is the worst combination crowd-wise but don't have any flexibility. I'm going to plan on going there as early as possible but wonder if you feel it's still doable with the anticipated crowds and if you have any other crowd beating tips. Thanks and keep the wonderful info coming!

    I had so much confusion on how to get to Jungfraujoch from Interlaken, and your video answered all my questions. Thank you so much!!
    As I am travelling in the summer, I am hoping not to bring winter clothes just for this part of the trip. May I know if you guys have any idea on where I can rent thick jackets and boots? I will be based in Interlaken. Using the Berner Oberland Pass, I intend to take the train to Grindelwald Terminal, Eiger Express before transiting to Jungfrau Railway. Is there any point in my route where there will be rental shops available? Appreciate your help!
