I also really liked the game and as you said, the soundtrack really played a big role in this one. Your rendition captures the feeling and atmosphere very well, the first riff already brings back the chills...
I have been tossing around ideas of songs I want to do for my channel, but I can't decide wether or not I want to put up my original works, or covers/remixes
The nice thing about covers is they give your audience a reference point, a reason to check out what you do. But, if you are not into it, and you are doing it to pull an audience, people will know. I transitioned to doing mostly covers because I had a list a year long of songs I wanted to re-arrange, and doing original videos became kind of a chore. I didn't feel inspired. Plus, people were way more into the covers. So it all worked out well. My best advice is, do what you are passionate about first. I am still working on original music, but its nice to have it not be a video I have to do, but rather just stuff I do as well.
If you take recommendations maybe a Cave Story rendition would be cool, Main Theme, On to Grasstown, Moonsong, Final battle, there's just so many good picks, I would love to see a rendition of any of those songs, once you're done with your favorite games of 2014 pieces. Either way, I'd just love to see whatever rendition you're making next ASAP. Keep up the great work!
The game boy has a LSDJ cartridge in it, which is a chiptune tracker. I programmed in all of the patterns, note by note, in different song sections and then switched between them for the different parts. I am still a beginner when it comes to chiptune, but I love the tone so freaking much that I end up including what little I can in my videos.

Love the original and this does it great justice, definitely deserves more views
Great to hear. This game got on my list, in part, because of the fantastic soundtrack, so its good to hear that I did it justice!
MotiveMakesaMan Music Same! I had the soundtrack before I got the game

+Jack Appleby Why did you decide to become a dog?
YOU SHOULD WORK TOGETHER WITH DARREN KORB!!!
On a side note, fantastic work!! Really love your modernised version.
Nice! Love Transistor SoundTrack.
So amazing! I'm speechless ..
Beautiful. Your best use of the guitar so far, in my unsolicited opinion :)
My heart melts into goo every time I hear this track. Even more-so now that Ace has his own touch on it.
Beautiful.
Yeah, ok, that was pretty awesome. Excellent cover!
AWESOME TUNE! Well done!
Sweet! I think I'll have to play Transistor now!
Oh man. Its such a great, fresh take on Cyber Punk aesthetic. It definitely does not disappoint.

Amazing as usual
Thank you for this, this is a very expressive beautiful rendition of this song. To one of my favourite games

Great
One of my favorite tracks. Great work, really does it justice.
This is nice.
this is magnificent!
Thank you! It was nice to do something a bit more modern. Darren Korb did give me some pretty fantastic source material to play off of!
Wonderful work, eclipses if not surpasses the original.
Hey man, nice video! I've started sharing your channel, I'm surprised you aren't as well-known as you should be. :)
Right!?
That was really nice. Subbed. You should do something from Perfect Dark or Deus Ex!
This was great! Did you see also, the official transistor facebook page shared this? :-D congrats!
I did and I am very honored by it. It is so fantastic when the devs that make things that inspire me see the stuff I make.
MotiveMakesaMan Music Do you think it would be possible to add Red's humming over this? That would be really neat.
That was awesome. How did you do that with the gameboy? Was it a sample that you replayed at different tones?

Who is here from AGDQ2019?
It sounds too "sweet" and too epic. From 1:00 it's straight off.
Transistor was phenomenal and this does it justice. Thanks man
