Sure most may not agree with Sparity shipping, but they need to remember that Spike was hatched by Twilight while she was in Kindergarten *Or at least younger than the CMC* Meaning, at most... Spike would only be 10 years younger than Rarity. More likely he is about 6-8 years younger. Not that big of a gap, at all. When he is 21 she and her could date easily. Reason he'd be called a Baby Dragon is due to their natural long life, anything younger than 100 would be baby, or perhaps.. 50. Now if spike was 1000 years old, then he would be and adult for sure.
I don't get why people try to justify this ship still to this day because of their species. People just forget that Spike was raised from a general pony community? He problably didn't even knew that he was going to live a long life, he didn't even knew that he would get wings! Neither did anyone or Twilight knew certain aspects of dragon culture. And for this age gap that would be acceptable when he gets to adulthood, it is still somewhat WEIRD. Imagine if you start crushing when you're 12 and the other person being 18, and think that the person will be noticing you and maybe even ACCEPT your feelings as a 12 year old, but that only gets brushed aside and treated as a cute silly thing (not to mention, that this person provokes on make It up just to make you feel better because of this crush you have on them, even if they KNOWS is wrong to play along and reciprocate somewhat romantic feelings from a CHILD), but you still feel attracted to this person. Years later, you're FINALLY an adult and this person is older than you, still an adult, and now, It has an interest about you, JUST because you are finally an adult who can "make your own choices in life" and all in the past was just to not look WEIRD because, you both where in different times in your lifes and It wouldn't work out... Like... COME ON Honestly, I don't get It why this should be justified regardless if it's just fiction or not, kinda tired of people and media showing this kind of relationships anyways. Also to point It out: you KNOW, all of the people here KNOWS. If their roles where switched, Spike being a girl and Rarity being a man, people would be NOT shipping these two...
Applebloom was born before Spike was hatched, as proven in the flashback in the seedling episode in season 9. At best he's CMC age range. How about we ship Rarity with Rumble then?

I have been hard up for well writien Fan fiction. somtimes I can feel myown braincells Dying listening to bad ones. but this is so well writen I couldnt find somthing bad about it if I tried. I am taking Metal notes to be AS GOOD as this author. I hhope this person gets as much attention as they vcan handle

Because we all still have the context (in canon) that they have met since Spike was a baby dragon and Rarity was an adult... I personally don't like this fanfic at all even if has this explanation.
