First off congrats to you guys this is such an exciting step! Second, I love the fact that Max put on chapstick in the car and then proceeded to wipe it off a second later. Love you guys!
So so happy for you guys!! But also so sad bc i lived right near you in Allentown like i also go to Vibe weekly, my dad and i have been crazy Flyer’s fan my whole life, i go to the same starbucks as you guys and i go to same Wegman’s weekly as you, i saw you there recently but didn’t get to say hi in time before you left 😭 i’ve been watching your videos for 10 years and i can’t believe we haven’t crossed paths living so close before you left 🥹
In Germany it is standard for people to have plain white walls, and I really love it because it is so bright and there is no hustle with matching furniture, etc.
omg YAY congratulations to you both!! 🥳and aw Max looked so upset with himself when you were talking about misplacing the keys🥺 Can't wait for all the cape content!!
Definitely a liability issue leaving something in someone’s house that you don’t officially own. Say if a break in were to happen, the owner would be responsible. Also, should never get the keys prior to closing for that same reason! Though I know a lot of agents still do that when they aren’t going to the title company or won’t be immediately meeting up with you. Keys should be delivered to the title company prior to closing if that’s the case. Also, say something comes up and you can’t make it to closing (like a family emergency etc) or you look at the paperwork and decide you no longer want to go through with it, obviously one off senarios, but reasons the sale can’t be assumed until it’s done
Usually they won’t let you in the house before is because a lot of the times they set up a welcome home gift and they want you to see it after you both sign the papers 🏡 Congratulations to you both and Brody is going to love his new home
It’s actually more for legal purposes. Things happen at the closing table or things get delayed or canceled. The home isn’t theirs until they sign the closing docs :)
Hi Gretchen good morning happy Tuesday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Beautiful home! Simply White seems to be coming off blue? Is that the primer? I highly recommend Swiss Coffee or Chantilly Lace for your lighting 🥰 Congrats!!!!
Kind of old school thinking on being that strict with only moving in when it’s “on record.” Technically it’s because you haven’t closed and it’s not official and if you had stuff in the house it’s not insured. But, if you close later in the day sometimes they don’t have time to make it to get it on record same day, and I’ve never had to make my clients wait until the next day to go back
The previous owners of our house actually gave us the keys the day before & told us we can start moving in then but we were too scared to do so & then something happening at closing so we waited
I actually sat at the closing table and something happened and I couldn’t close until a few days later! Basically they don’t want you in the house because legally it’s not yours until after closing :)
The reason you can’t move in before signing the papers is because you’re not the official owners. If something happens at closing to where it doesn’t close, that’s a liability to have your stuff in there.
congratulations Gretchen!! this is so exciting !! psyched to see you living it up on the cape!! 🎉😘
Been watching you for 10 years and literally had tears in my eyes watching!! so so proud and excited for you guys and B!
First off congrats to you guys this is such an exciting step! Second, I love the fact that Max put on chapstick in the car and then proceeded to wipe it off a second later. Love you guys!
My guess is it’s a liability if something were to happen to you or even the house if you were in it before closing!
Congrats on your home!!!
biggest secondhand excitement for you both! congratulations!!!
Also decor tip- Paint your interior doors a bold color (one that goes with accents-black or navy-) you won’t regret it.
So happy for you both. Congrats and can’t wait for future cape vlogs in your new home! 🎉🍾
You should go watch all your own moving vlogs, it’s so funny to see how the moving vlogs went from all college housing to real life starting.
So so happy for you guys!! Oh congratulations!!!We did simply white in our house a few years ago and it’s so good! Not sterile at all, it’s so warm and inviting!
Huge congratulations ❤
Liability- you could catch it on fire or flood it and then it would become battle of the insurance companies
So crazy that I started watching you when you were at BU and now look!! I could actually cry for you guys 🥹
Not me checking every day for a new closing vlog🙈 congratulations!!🎉

Caveat is the new "tubberware". Its a short a sound.
Congratulations Homeowners 😎👍
GRETCHEN IS TALLER THAN THE FRIDGE I’m shook
The reason you can’t move in before signing the papers is because you’re not the official owners. If something happens at closing to where it doesn’t close, that’s a liability to have your stuff in there.
Is your family upset you chose to live where Max’s family lives?
Btw did you get yr wallet back from Cochella?
