I have watched biblical movies over and over as a way to see how the people of the old days literally focused their lives every day all day ON GOD! I know it’s only a movie but, I believe it’s a good vision of how it was for them over 2,000 years ago. Something causing me to DESIRE what they had…in the way of a much much closer relationship WITH GOD. I think about it every day…. Can I ask…How are you doing 2 years after your comment? I have been fasting for years. It has really helped to strengthen my emotions and character. We are told to fast because it is good for us. Lots of new research on how fasting heals the body and reduces the risks of disease. Everything God tells us to do is for our good. God is so good!!!

Day fasting only eating after dark is also a great way to fast imho. I am on day 11 and lm feeling better already eating as much organic food as l can. I am drinking water during the day no food just a little cordial if l need in the afternoon. I have been praying three times a day as well asking God to forgive me and asking him for supernatural breakthrough in all areas of my life.
It was at the beginning of my three day fast that the Lord began to talk to me about my destiny. So grateful to the Lord for your ministry Rabbi, the Lord has confirmed many things through you. Shalom!
Ohhhhh thank you for this! God has called me to a 40 day fast at the beginning of this year and I'm on my 4th attempt to complete this! Your teachings are a GOD SEND! I definitely relate to what you're saying. I find that, at least in my thinking, fasting to cleanse my body while I cleanse myself spiritually is ok. The primary focus of course is spiritual but we are body, soul and spirit.
@@lauramenchaca6769 my humble guess is that if it shifts into weight loss, not for the purposes of a healthy body... but possibly more focused on vanity, that's where it goes off track. I'm not saying this is what happened here. But I'm just thinking out loud about the difference in the intention. I can see myself easily being tempted to shift my focus on this aspect. The enemy is very slick.
I want to thank you Father God for answering my prayers. I have been praying for many years for understanding of everything in the Bible and my father God. Day 4 on my 2nd dry detox. First I lasted a week & that's when I realized there was a God & asked Jesus to take me into his heart. I'm coming off this into raw foods only from here on out. Minimal animal which will be grass finished only! No more grains no more sugar ! Fasting for wisdom. No direction in life & I'm 50. Do not want to go back into the work system. Right now I'm chilling with Yeshua waiting on word.

Hello Rabbi I’ve been having the hardest time beginning my fast please pray for me I’m fasting for a clearer vision on how I can produce fruit before God plucks me up and cuts me off. Praying that I can be married and give birth naturally as well
My sister constantly read 1 Samuel chapter 1 and 2 and and go to God in Jesus name like Hannah. Recite what she states when you pray. Be like Ruth be about Jesus business pray for the spouse and Thank God during the wait. I am waiting also. I had to learn to submit to God and be in my purpose because wanting marry consumed me. He assured me through his word I am worth the wait. Build you and achive and conqueror before he comes so he does not become your god ever. You are called to be his help mate not a burden.
Sweet Oni, Jesus LOVES You and will never cut you off. If you are saved and your desire is to please the Lord you will never be cut off. This is a lesson that I have had to learn the hard way.

I want to be closer to God but these issues are trying to keep me further away from the Kingdom of the most holy.
God bless you, please pray that the mercy of GOD draws you closer to HIM. There is no mountain that GOD cannot level. The financial state you are at the moment will be a thing of the past. But getting closer to GOD will enable HIS SPIRIT to guide you through becoming debt free. HE will lead you some disciplined manner of spending etc etc.

For some reason yesterday, I stumbled across an article about the real Jewish Jesus, and the laws of God we were supposed to be following, not the same teachings I grew up with. who knew it was the 10 Commandments we were suppose to follow, the Laws of God Jesus was preaching that were the Good News He proclaimed were the Gospel. then today I was looking for something completely different on TH-cam and you popped up, and you were saying the same thing I read yesterday. So I guess I should be paying attention to what you preach. I'll will be around watching, listening and learning what I need to know to get back with Jesus.....the right way this time. And fasting is not new to me, I have been doing it off and on for many years, but never for the right reasons, now I know the right reasons, you got me straightened out on that. If you are in the habit of a high-carb diet, it will make it harder at first. Then, when your body gets the idea, it will "move out of the way" to allow you to focus on G.d without the joint pain and you may or may not have higher energy. I didn't know a lot about fasting in scripture. I didn't think about Moses fasting on the mountain. I am grateful for this series because I really needed it. A lot of Jesus' sheep probably do. Rabbi Schneider takes a teaching to the next level of detail for us. PTL

I have fasted, and gained the spiritual closeness, and benefit, but when a friend asked me why this happened and on what scriptures it was based, I could only cite two, and couldn't really explain them.. This series explains it so well, AND explained a scripture I never understood. When Jesus explained why His disciples didn't fast, and then later, why they couldn't drive out some specific demons,..I never really got the real meaning. Praise God for Rabbi Schneider, and his anointed teachings. He often lifts the fog for me!

Fasting is also good for your body when you skip eating food, your body cleanses and reguvinates itself. Also it can prepare a Christian's mind for any possible future hardship knowing you can survive being without food for days or weeks without dieing.

Perfect perfect perfect I always stressed to people that time does not heal it or because from my personal experience with fear fear of certain things that could happen because off past experiences I realize that not even time could heal it until I started praying and seeking God‘s intervention that’s the time that I started feeling a sense of safety and the fear began to disappear it has nothing to do with time because Only God has the power to heal not people and certainly not time only God
Thank you for your teaching in thissubject, I have been struggling with this particular aspect, I want to fast more that 3 sandwiches easy for me to do, you spiritual strengthen me to do three days dry fast but I came do more than that. I am plagued with demons dreams, my family is broken and I gave so many challenges, from rejection to financial barreniess. Now I understand that I need to deprive the flesh to put my life together but I am praying to be able to. One thing I had to do was get off a social media site a while back. I posted on it daily. It was hard at first to get off but I now have been off of it for Weeks. I've also been on water only fasts as well.

Fasting is also good for your body when you skip eating food, your body cleanses and reguvinates itself. Also it can prepare a Christian's mind for any possible future hardship knowing you can survive being without food for days or weeks without dieing.

Perfect perfect perfect I always stressed to people that time does not heal it or because from my personal experience with fear fear of certain things that could happen because off past experiences I realize that not even time could heal it until I started praying and seeking God‘s intervention that’s the time that I started feeling a sense of safety and the fear began to disappear it has nothing to do with time because Only God has the power to heal not people and certainly not time only God

Thank you for your teaching in thissubject, I have been struggling with this particular aspect, I want to fast more that 3 sandwiches easy for me to do, you spiritual strengthen me to do three days dry fast but I came do more than that. I am plagued with demons dreams, my family is broken and I gave so many challenges, from rejection to financial barreniess. Now I understand that I need to deprive the flesh to put my life together but I am praying to be able to. Fast more than just three days. please remember me in your prayers as I am going to attempt a 40days fasting. Thank you

One thing I had to do was get off a social media site a while back. I posted on it daily. It was hard at first to get off but I now have been off of it for Weeks. I've also been on water only fasts as well.
