People saying it's too complicated yet they learn their base designs from TH-cam and Twitch. It's no different. Someone will put guides up on how to make a variety of things and you can copy it
It is too complicated and not needed. They should be working on the lag and player customization instead of adding more complicated lag causing additions.
@@wrxsubaru02 player customization will never be implemented. The devs say that you dont choose how you look irl, so why would you choose how you look in rust.
@@vladan9826 Thats lame because this game is nothing like real life. If that is their excuse then they should just make you be a new character every time you respawn since technically you are just being born again for the first time. I would be fine with a new character each time instead of the same ugly gostly white figure I have now. I could also see a lot more role playing going on with a new character each time so it would add a lot more fun to it. If not every time u die, then at least every time there is a new wipe. either way the character with no customization option is just stupid and outdated.

Jonathan Because people like Rust without all the new things added. I’ll be honest, after thousands of hours playing, I’m not sure about electricity. Helk aka the worst developer in history really loves adding new stuff every update without fixing anything else. He should focus on progression, bugs, etc instead of adding new weapons with no purpose and electricity.

I wonder why is everyone complaining in the comments? You can still play the as you used to without electricity but now creative builders can have more power. You are not forced to learn this system.
AtlasMkIV I’m neither for nor against this update yet but I’m pretty sure the people who are complaining about it aren’t bothered about being forced to learn the system or not, rather if they choose not to learn it they’ll be at a disadvantage

@@LoboPreto There are custom servers which disablle twig update so yeah, players cant complain, nor if there are few servers without the update, because that would mean the majority like the update

Why are people complaining so much this adds so much more to base design in Rust I currently am experimenting with certain circuits for my base and it's extremely fun to use you guys just need to chill out!
This is awesome, I like how you added logic gates and a npn-transistor ("blocker") aswell as a flip-flop. Will surely be used in complex manners. :)

electrical engineering 2018 simulator
Kevin Loayza Montes is this the sort of things you do in electrical engineering because I was interested in being one and I love playing rust
I did electro-mechanical / computer engineering and while Rust's electrical system is simplified compared to RL (for both gameplay and performance reasons I assume unless they're going to add more fundamental components) it is what we did.
We learned, drew up, designed, and built a lot of simple circuits and kept graduating to more complex systems that performed a task for us in a convenient or efficient way. You end up learning how (at least at a concept or basic level) how all the electrical systems and electronics most of us use daily actually work at a deep level rather than just accepting things as it is.
With Rust, a lot of people I imagine will be motivated to learn its electrical / digital circuits system in order to automate their bases and traps for defense and / or quality of life if they have the luxury of not being raided constantly.

They've been optimizing the game for 5 years, and it runs so smoothly compared with the first time it released.
If you, at this time of the century, after a lot of optimizations, cant run the game properly, then you either have a shit pc, or you're just complaining and you dont even play the game.
@@Unikv it still runs like shit tho its better but still awful by normal standards. and i have a pretty good pc and this is literally the only game i have to lower the graphic settings to get 80 or 100 fps

AAANNNNDDDDDD it is massively simplified power delivery / electrical circuit system at that. No need to deal with base components or concepts such as AC vs DC, transformers, resistors, capacitors, inductors, OP AMPS, diodes, transistors, worrying about VIR, etc to make basic circuits.

A problem I've been having is combining root controllers. Say you want to have 4 solar panels charging 1 large battery. You use root combiners to combine the 4 solar panels in 2 pairs, and then you would think a final root combiner would bring those 2 other roots into 1 but it doesnt. You cannot feed the output of a root combiner into the input of another for some reason, not sure if its a bug or intentional. What this ends up meaning is either you can only use 2 power sources per battery. The only way to have 4 solar panels that I can figure out is to have each pair of solar panels feeding its own battery, so you need 2 large batteries, and then combining both batteries with a root combiner, but this way you have to have 2 large batteries.
It sounds like it's intentional, but it's really early to say about what will happen with these & other things due to its potential. Also, half of the people wouldn't have the brain power to comprehend what you said lolo

I assume they're going to expand upon this in later patches. Space heaters, automated resource processing, advanced electronics, trapdoors, maybe intercoms if they improve the voip system, the possibilities are endless.

I know that electricity is not mandatory, but Facepunch should keep its survival game as simple as possible as more features get added, especially with the ever growing task of managing the item variations in the same limited inventory space. The monument puzzles alone left me feeling that the color cards were enough and that they should get rid of those electric fuses. Plus item life is removed just for picking off on top of that? They should at least favor experimentation lol

Don't use a pressure plate. Use a laser and you won't have that problem.
