    The onliest thing I disagree with Kairos Power about is solid fuel. That obviates most of the reasons to possibly use thorium in the power cycle. If all you are going to do is burn waste or enriched uranium I see no problem except transuranic waste, just like with pressurized water. The fuel will be limited just like with light water pressurized reactors only using a tiny portion before fuel is moved out. But in all respects just a modest minor improvement over GE 1000 lwpr will be just that, minor and will not lower the cost like with molten salt thorium reactors which has the capability of giving a higher standard of living even to extremely poor nations, thus doing little to lower the press of humanities numbers by raising the living standards of the poorest of the poor nations where the glut of humanities numbers tend to increase.
