I am delighted that you are enjoying this series. The strategy I use in this series, of building a massive army, works in the Union campaign as effectively as it does in this CSA campaign. I think that my Battle of Washington is the easiest end-campaign battle on LG on TH-cam. With a massive army, the CSA is unbeatable. - I skipped a few Reputation purchases of recruits, and I would take almost all of them if I played the CSA campaign again. The CSA always needs more men, especially in the end-game. - I wish you the best in your campaign. - Thanks for your kind comment.
@@hibobwarbob9015 Thanks. These are not easy tactics to master, you just make it look easy. But with practice, I believe that any player can have a much better game using these tactics. - I have noticed that I take a few more losses during battles than you do. I think that part of this is my fighting style, which will result in more losses. Even so, I was very surprised to find that my army is only about 1k smaller than yours after Shiloh. I thought for sure that the gap would be larger than that. I think that my strength is artillery, and when I start to build artillery my losses will go down. However, I am not going to stop getting into melee at every opportunity, so my losses will probably be higher than my last campaign. - I am not concerned about having the largest army possible for Washington, I just need it to be large enough to take the last flag. I am, however, very excited to see how large you can build your army, and I think that is both a great challenge and a great experiment. - One of the complaints about the CSA campaign is that the AI brings a massive army to the last battle, while the CSA army is always smaller than the player expected it to be by that point in the campaign. I think that part of this is that most players got maybe 1:1 or 2:1 during the campaign, and that is counting the captures in the calculation. With the kill ratios that are now possible, it is possible that the CSA player can finally bring a sizable army to Washington.
@@hibobwarbob9015 I knew that you were going to spend rep on men, which I think is a great idea. And really, with all of the weapons from captured enemy units you should be fine for weapons, which means you won't need to spend rep on guns. But 300k sounds unbelievable. My goal is 175k for Washington, which I figure will make the battle easy. But 300k would be amazing to watch. Good luck. - The CSA army at Richmond is a lot smaller, and any reasonably large Union army can steam-roll them. Washington has a reputation for being a lot harder. I wouldn't know for sure, I have never finished the CSA campaign.
This is the UI mod. This mod is made by the same people who gave us the J&P mod (pandakraut). The UI mod is the vanilla game, with bugs fixed and a vastly improved UI. The game can be changed by making changes in the ini files, but most players don't make any changes. The J&P mod complete changes the game, and the J&P mod feels like a completely different game from vanilla UGCW, with or without the UI mod. - I highly recommend the UI mod. If nothing else, being able to easily see artillery canister, shell and shot ranges is priceless. There are a lot of improvements, but just this one makes the mod worth installing. Also, in the vanilla game, some perks don't actually do anything. They are broken and the devs never fixed them. With the UI mod, Unit and Commander perks actually do what the description says they do. - I hope that you give the UI mod a try. If you play a battle with it, you will never play without it again.
this is such a great series. i love your commentary. really relaxing !

When the last regiments get there I'm like
"Trophy for participation."
hahaha. that will be their unit motto.
Nice job told you it was easy it almost always works lol it's so much fun to mess with them.
This was my first time doing this, and I was surprised at how well it worked. I get better at these tactics in the next few battles.
@@SomethingCompass I saw you took a few extra losses that you could have avoided but for the most part it was pulled off brilliantly :)

What is the mod? Not JP?
