One of the most powerful lines in cinema history, and this is why Magneto will forever be one of the greatest villains of all time, whenever it’s the movie(FOX) or animated(X-Men 97) version, his character writing is top tier. One thing I love about this movie was the dynamic between Professor X and Magneto in their younger years. Sebastian Shaw was also an underrated villain, wish we got to see more from him.

@@sombrashadow0013 I think his powers are above omega level actually, because he doesn't have "attack" power, is more like a passive, but a huge one, he basically will be there in the end of times, in some way, like, in the current comics he is just a conscience being inside of The Vault computers, this is more powerfull than some omega levels right now. We already have some mutants with powers being called "above omega", Hope is an example, her powers are just "copy" but the potential there is unlimited

This is one of the first xmen movies i was able to see in theaters. Really made me fall in love with Xmen (and Michael Fassbender 😍)
I would love to believe that if i were a mutant i would align with Xavier but knowing myself, i would have joined Magneto.
Just an FYI. Azazel, the red-skinned demon looking guy, is Nightcrawler's father. Him and Mystique had a child together. That child being Kurt, Nightcrawler.

My very first thought lmao. I love Magneto but he doesn't have the Him-ness of Dr. Doom. Man convinced Spider-Man to go to hell with him just to retrieve the soul of his eternally damned wife like it was easy.
Depends on the era. During the 2000s, I remember Magneto even surpassing Joker in polls of the greatest comic book villains of all time.

@@billbill6094 Adaptations definitely make an impact. Though when the first two phases of the MCU were being criticized for having mostly forgettable villains, I've always said that a significant factor was them not having the rights to Spider-Man, X-Men, & Fantastic Four characters at that time.

January Jones as Emma Frost was a definite miscast. She looks the part but when she delivers her lines she sounds board and sounds like she's reading them off of a cue card.
The magneto costume design at the end is actually the most comic book accurate of them all, just looks cheesy on film but he absolutely had those horns

Rob not exactly wrong. X-men was the biggest thing Marvel had in the 90's but after the movie rights got split up, and Marvel started making their own movies they did have an actual corporate decision to down play the x-men because they didn't want Fox having all the rights to the characters in movies and tv etc and competing w/ the MCU/Avengers so they weren't promoted as much in comics and merchandise that Marvel still had the rights to. Now that they got all the rights back is why you are seeing a lot more X-men stuff in the mainstream. When they weren't promoting them they wouldn't even let the characters be in videogames or any of that even though they had some of the best selling games back in Genesis/SNES/Playstation/Gamecube days.

It's still my favourite live-action ensemble X-Men movie. I love how Matthew Vaughn uses these characters and their powers. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are fantastic together as younger versions of Professor X and Magneto (Micheal Fassbender especially)
That F-bomb from Wolverine's cameo is one of the greatest F-bombs Ive ever seen in a movie. Fun Fact: Hugh Jackman was told to improvise that scene without Micheal Fassbender and James McAvoy's knowledge, so their reactions in that scene are genuine.
However, I will admit the movie isn't perfect as the prosthetics are a bit off, some characters are underutilized, and Mystique's character arc feels a bit rushed, not to mention the infamous meme of the movie, for no logical reason, killing off one of the only black characters who' mutant ability is to survive any scenario possible, nevertheless this is still one of the best movies in the Fox X-Men franchise.

I hate that the director chose not to read the source material so we got trash movie after trash movie. Darwin literally would not die from that if the director was familiar with his power. He would just adapt by turning into energy, or something. Like when he faught the Hulk, his body adapted by literally teleporting away so he wouldn't die lol
At least each movie on had their moments. Honestly the only people who like these movies are ppl who aren't also fans of the comics.

Hey fan of the channel...First Class is a fun movie, Days of Future probably best X-Men movie but Apocalypse is Class! u trippin...film was emotional as hell..the villian is bad ass..the Quicksilver scene probably the best out of these 3 movies...the jokes are hilarious and that ending action scene is just mental...u have lost ur shit not watching it..

Doctor Doom is a sorcerer scientist, aside from being one of the smartest beings in Marvel, he’s also a proficient magic user. He’s like Lex Luthor and Doctor Strange put together. It’s funny y’all brought him up during the movie, because the Fantastic Four film adaptations hoe’d him by making him a mutate like the Fantastic Four, when he was never one to begin with.

I certainly think this is the best of the X-Men movies (Days of Future Past being a close second), but there are still a few lines of dialogue that I think they should have changed slightly to be a little less cliché, and a bit more impactful.
Hardcore fans of Marvel and X-Men comics will obviously point out errors in characters and powers, but I'm not that invested. The one thing above all others that I took away from this movie, is that Charles is an arrogant, hubristic, holier-than-thou, self-entitled ass. If the world doesn't agree with his ideals, it's the world that must be wrong, and he is entitled to interfere with anyone else's life in any manner so that he gets his way in the end. I really don't like him.
Eric did not turn against Charles at the beach, he was protecting him and the others. If not for Eric, Charles would have DIED, and all his 'be the better man' would account for NOTHING. This is how they should have phrased that scene:
Charles: "The men on those ships are just following orders!"
Eric: "No. The men on those ships, who have free will, are CHOOSING to follow MURDEROUS, GENOCIDAL orders, for no other reason than they cannot accept the truth. Tell me Charles, if war was declared, but everyone chose not to fight, what would we have to fear then? They have chosen the path of death. Who am I to deny them their choice?"
Aaannnnnnnnd that is why comics are fiction. As soon as you try to inject reality into them, the entertainment falls apart. The reason Charles is so hung up that he is right about peace being the only option, is because he's a telepath. He can force people to think or believe what he wants (mostly). After all, if he didn't want Shaw to die, well, Charles was controlling him, he could have had Shaw move out of the way of the coin, or blast himself out of the room, or SOMETHING. Eric killed Shaw, and Charles helped him. Then had the nerve to say 'don't kill these soldiers who are also trying to kill us.' Hypocrite.

Marvel/Disney didn't wait for X-Men, Fox was not willing to play ball with Marvel/Disney so there was no choice. Because Fox only had the rights to media, they did not have the toy rights or comic rights...so Marvel/Disney killed the X-Men and Mutants in the comics, rather than give free advertising and promotion to Fox. This led to the creation of the Inhumans, an offshoot to Mutants.
Stories that were made as representatives of real world issues in Marvel? Blue Marvel is a Superman that's Black in order to deal with racial issues to a hero, Spider-Man is a teen coming of age while having to be an adult even when he doesn't want to, Black Panther and Wakanda is an Afruika that wasn't colonized but instead allowed to grow on its own without outside influence, etc

Marvel is DEFINITELY better than DC. There is a large amount of stupid and kiddish and non sensical stuff in DC comics, way more then in marvel comics. Alot of DC stuff breaks it's own continuity unintentionally, and undeniably of marvel and dcs tenure for shows and movies, marvel has made better stuff overall
