Great video! This was a really clear and concise explanation of Wi-Fi networking. I especially liked the part about Wi-Fi 6 and the importance of channel selection. I'll definitely be using these tips to optimize my home network. Thanks for sharing bro

I hard wire what I can to free up wireless bandwidth. Our AV receiver, PCs, NAS, printer, big screen TV, Dish, are all close to the router and are hard wired. Add a switch to your router if needed. And get a good router. The ones ISPs lease you generally suck. The best bang for my buck has been the TP-Link routers sold at Walmart and Amazon. Easy to configure and manage, and my older TP-Link router was re-configurable as a mesh device in the back of the house after a firmware update.

Let break it down a bit: when you have at least 500Mbps, not to mention 1 Gbps and greater - which means a wider band for a large and a quantity of data, and not a greater speed, as many think - QoS is almost FUTILE, since QoS was designed when the Internet band's width was narrow enough not to accommodate a lot of traffic that is going through your network, particular from your router to your behind connected devices, LAN namely, especially on a wired LAN devices! And, so to achieve almost same performance like on a wired network, that is why WiFi 5, 6 and nowadays, WiFi 7 sprung-up, so that the QoS feature wouldn't be enough for the current demands of Internet traffic! And, since these new WiFi standards - 5, 6 and 7 - are addressing particularly a WLAN Internet connected structure that is why not a greater accent is placed on covering a wide/wider range with these WiFi standards assuming from the very beginning exactly this downside of the wider WiFi bands of 5, 6 and 7 of not being very long range covering standard but the so called higher speed of them! So, it's a trade off here: wider band(greater speed so called) of WiFi 5, 6 and 7 and, limited speed(actually narrower band) of the 2.4Ghz band!

Very good breakdown! I might have to call you if we do an expert level course 🙂 Thank you!
