Rusted oil pan on my 1992 Ford Truck leaking motor oil....

Heres a short video of my 1992 Ford F-150 leaking motor oil. Drove it around town and came home and there was a nice big puddle of oil underneath my truck. Now it has to go to the shop which wont be for another week yet.

Ford trucks from that era are notorious for the oil pans rusting out. On one of my other trucks, the rear spring shackles rusted out and the leaf spring came in contact with the bottom of the pickup box.

My old 2005 Hyundai Tucson has a rusty oil pan and so far no leaks but doesn’t mean it won’t happen though. ( Keeping fingers crossed until I get to the shop on Monday )

The shop charged me about $400. Parts and oil were around $175. This truck has the 300 (4.9 liter) straight six and man trans and is a 2wd truck and was an easy one to do a pan replacement on.
