Late to the party but wanted to plug Conjure Fey. I tried it during the endgame, and summoned a giant purple gorilla. It missed a lot and didn't do great damage, but it also had 113 HP, and for some reason all the bigger enemy mobs made a beeline for it. Watching my conjured ape fight a Sorr-Akkath Abomination was like watching King Kong versus Godzilla, Solasta style. Highly recommended at least once for the entertainment value alone.
+1 on this but could you also add stat blocks on the conjure spells? I never know if earth elementals are immune to piercing in the game or what the conjured hag can really do, etc.
Hey Van, enjoy you reviews. Could you do a strategic spell positioning for controllers? Layering, taking care of the enemy spellcasters/ranged combatants, etc?
Truesight has niche use in the list valley DLC. There’s atleast one reward cache that cannot be properly opened without truesight being active on a character. If cleric is in the team then the spell can be prepared and changed again without the expensive choice for a wizard.
I actually never got the chance to see these spells. Never played so much with the same characters to get this high level. (I play a lot of user made content) Had no idea 6 level spells existed.
to be honest i ve not much experience on lvl 6 spells . I ve complete the game both campains 2 times on cataclysm and i rarely used em. Sunbeam is good for druid in my experience. eyebite seems good ( like sharingan of uchiha clan) but it rarely comes to mind since u can do other more impactfull things. blade barrier is probably the best of its kind. HEroes feast is 1 or 2 time wonder if you know what u are going to face..if you know the dificult fight ..its AMAZING and MUST HAVE
Depending on the difficulty and sub quests you complete, you are right when it comes to getting level 6 spells. For the most part, I up cast other spells. Feel like you get more bang for the buck. I do like blade barrier, wall of thorns and sunbeam a lot. Cheers!
This video was made before Hilarity came out. Hilarity is like a super version of Tasha's Hideous laughter. The fall prone, are incapacitated and take 3d10 dmg every turn. Its nice as it take the enemy out of the fight and with a lore bard having them fail saves makes this very strong. However since it is both a concentration spell and they can save every turn, upcasting other spells may be a better use of a 6th level spell slot. Cheers!

Thanks - I will add this to my to do list after the DLC releases in May. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment. I did not realize this was a thing! Cheers!
Thanks for covering all the spells mate; do you have any plans covering the community expansion spells?
I am unaware of community expansion spells. I can add this to a list for future videos for sure. Cheers!
Hey Van, Will you do these kind of videos on the spells from palace of ice?
Yes, I have the Level 7 & 8 Spell videos made I believe, and hope to get them posted soon. It has been a busy summer. Cheers!

High reward high reload (because most people save scum in the game XD)
Yeah, very true. Cheers!

+1 on hero’s feast but doesn’t seem to work as advertised (poison, etc)
But what about Hilarity 6th lvl spell?
